Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong Looks to the Future, Embracing Art

Hong Kong is about to enter an art frenzy. Since Art Basel’s inception, March has been transformed into one of the most frenetic and vivacious times of year. For several weeks the city is jam packed with trend-setting artists, veteran curators and art aficionados searching for a special souvenir to bring home.

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong embraces art and the many ways it influences and intertwines with daily life.  This year, the Hotel partners with The Cat Street Gallery to exhibit artworks from the Back to the Future collection while the Nail Bar takes inspiration from the show and creates aesthetic nail designs to celebrate the occasion. Guests travelling to Hong Kong during March who book the Experience More Package will receive complimentary hotel credit to use toward a memorable meal or getting fingers and toes dazzling for the non-stop parade of art festivities.

Supporting Home Grown Arts

From March to May 2016, guests who visit Caprice or the Spa will spot the pop-up gallery on the 6th floor of the Hotel. Working with local favourite The Cat Street Gallery, the Back to the Future exhibition features artwork from emerging Hong Kong contemporary artists. Adopting the name of the classic American movie, the show explores the concept of time travel and puts it in context with Hong Kong’s development - from a fishing village to the East-Meets-West metropolis to the handover while unravelling what the future holds for the city.

Arty Nails

Guests can channel their inner artists and reflect their personal style via unique nail art. Seasoned therapists at the Nail Bar took inspiration from the Back to the Future exhibition and created a nail art look book that will excite those who like their art wearable.

Guests can sit back in a plush leather massage chair and let the gaze wander to the shimmering waters of Victoria Harbour and the passing boats below. While hands and feet are transformed, guests are encouraged to sip a beverage of their choice, whether a wholesome wheatgrass shot, energising pot of tea or decadent glass of Champagne. 

The Nail Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm daily (with last appointment times taken for 10:00 pm); treatments are priced from HKD 700 from Monday to Thursday and HKD 770 on weekends.

Show Your Best Face

Art exhibitions are the best places to see and be seen. For those looking to stand out in the crowd, the Spa offers the Diamonds Are Forever facial, delivering powerful results and leaving skin soft and radiant.

The facial treatment uses products from the Carol Joy London luxury skincare line, formulated with the purest ingredients - refined golden millet oil, triple-action collagen, caviar algae - packed with nutrients designed to regenerate the epidermis and deeply hydrate cells.  Combined with Carol Joy’s signature Myofascial lifting massage, stylish urban dwellers can brave the chic crowds with their best face.

Diamonds Are Forever 60 minutes facial treatment is HKD 1,600 Monday to Thursday and HKD 1,750 on weekends (note the 60 minute treatment does not include the caviar mask or microdermabrasion). Diamonds Are Forever 90 minute treatment is HKD 2,500 Monday to Thursday and HKD 2,800 on weekends, and 120 minutes is HKD 3,000 Monday to Thursday and HKD 3,300 on weekends (120 minute treatment includes choice of Infrared Therapy or Back Massage add-on).

Experience More at Four Seasons

From now until October 2016, guests who book the Experience More package will receive complimentary Hotel spending credit of either HKD 1,000 or HKD 1,500, depending on room type. Guests can use the spending credit on the Hotel’s Michelin-starred French and Chinese restaurants, Nail Art or any facial or body treatment at the award-winning Spa, Hotel airport limousine transfers, access to the Executive Club, laundry and dry-cleaning services, local calls and internet charges.

Suite staying guests will receive VIP Art Central tickets upon check in on March 21, 2016. This world-class satellite fair allows access to more than 100 exhibitors showcasing contemporary art at the Central Harbour Front. Available for preview on March 21, the six day art fair has established itself as one of the most anticipated events on the annual art fair calendar, adding a fresh take on the Hong Kong art week.

Special ticket offer to Art Central is also available at the Concierge, which entitles the bearer to purchase two adults tickets at HKD 200 online or by phone as oppose to HKD 460 at the door.
