Four Seasons Hotel Houston Pops the Cork on New Lobby Bar and Restaurant Concept Bayou & Bottle
Four Seasons Hotel Houston has announced plans for Bayou & Bottle – an exciting new lobby bar and restaurant concept by renowned restaurateur Richard Sandoval that will perfectly complement the Hotel’s soon-to-be gorgeously renovated lobby. Launching in January 2017, Bayou & Bottle is poised to take its rightful place as a lobby bar hot spot and will serve as a critical component of the Hotel's massive multi-million dollar renovation that will transform the storied property into “Houston’s Living Room.”
Over the past eighteen years, Richard Sandoval has emerged as one of the world’s leading executive chefs and restaurateurs. His restaurant group – Richard Sandoval Restaurants – has successfully launched and operated more than forty different restaurants around the world, including his original venture Maya in New York City, Zengo in Denver and Toro Toro in Dubai. Beyond conceptualising and operating uniquely innovative concepts around the world, Sandoval has expanded his presence with his cookbook release of New Latin Flavors, developing menus for American Airlines First Class Cabin and starring as a judge on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay and Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. Bayou & Bottle will mark Richard Sandoval’s first foray into Texas.
Bayou & Bottle will be seamlessly woven into the design framework of Four Seasons Hotel Houston and perfectly complement the existing aesthetic while simultaneously enhancing the Hotel’s newly envisioned lobby – currently undergoing a complete renovation. With a focus on vibrant bourbon and whiskey selections and quality cuisine, Bayou & Bottle will match the ambient lobby components of rich walnut, European grey oak, Carrara marble, smoky onyx, decorative brass, and fluted and antique glass – taking the totality of the experience to an unparalleled level of luxury, class and comfort.
The downtown Houston concept will be a lively American bar destination complete with vintage bar wear, exquisite whiskey flights, vibrant classic artwork, and more than seventy varieties of bourbon for luxurious consumption. What’s more, guests will have the unique opportunity to buy their own Bourbon Locker, in which their rare bottles of bourbon or whiskey may be stored – and accessed at their leisure. Can’t decide which bourbon or whiskey to enjoy? The Bourbon Baroness – Bayou & Bottle’s whiskey and bourbon aficionado – will be on hand to guide guests through her handcrafted cocktail program.
American novelist Mark Twain once mused that “too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.” For the esteemed visitors to Bayou & Bottle, a healthy amount of good whiskey will soon be on the agenda. The menu offerings at the forthcoming concept might just supply enough of the spirit to have made even Mark Twain envious.
Four Seasons Hotel Houston is also home to the Italian restaurant concept Quattro, a bar area by the resort-style outdoor pool, and the Vinoteca lounge.
