Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, the only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Resort on the Island of Hawaii, has announced a new offering exclusive to its Hawaii Loa, Makaloa, and Hoonanea standalone villas. Guests of the largest and most luxurious villa product in Hawaii will now have access to private in-suite wine cellars curated by Harlan family wines. The cellars are stocked with hand-selected wines from the esteemed Napa Valley-based Harlan wineries including Harlan Estate, BOND, The Mascot, and Promontory. To celebrate this partnership, all 2023 villa guests will receive an exclusive invitation to tour the Promontory vineyard in Napa, an invite-only winery.

The in-villa wine cellars are an added experience to the previously announced 2023 Winemaker in Residence series in partnership with the Harlan family’s wines. Showcasing award-winning selections from the family’s celebrated portfolio of wines, the Resort has hosted two of four scheduled events this year. On October 13, 2023, the Resort’s Executive Chef Richard Polhemus will join Mollie Maisch, director of The Mascot, at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai for an open-fire cooking experience featuring a knife forging demo by Neil Kamimura, a third-generation Hawaiian blacksmith, and wine pairings from The Mascot. Later in the year on December 27, 2023, the Resort will welcome Anthony Mendelson, Director of Global Distribution, for a fourth Winemaker in Residence weekend to ring in the 2023/2024 festive season.

“The addition of in-suite wine cellars in our Hoonanea, Makaloa and Hawaii Loa Presidential villas to further elevate our villa guests’ stay at Hualalai and continue to expand our relationship with the award-winning and highly accolated Harlan family wines based in the Napa Valley,” says Charlie Parker, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. “Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is committed to creating exclusive and sought-after experiences for our guests. Stemming from the success we’ve seen around our 2023 Winemaker in Residence series; it’s fitting to complement our guests love for wine with an in-villa experience.”

Debuted alongside the Resort’s USD 100 million property-wide renovation, the Hoonanea, Makaloa and Hawaii Loa Presidential villas were reimagined with thoughtful design elements and top-of-the-line amenities. In addition to the expansion, an impressive selection of exclusive in-villa pursuits became available. An in-suite culinary experience brings the Resort’s culinary team to the villa for an intimate dining experience with entertainment, delicious cuisine, décor, florals and more. Another opportunity is an in-suite wellness menu with select offerings spanning personal fitness, spa treatments and wellness modalities for guests’ in-villa enjoyment. On top of dedicated concierge team members planning the entire stay, guests of the villas also receive round-trip airport transfer, unpacking and packing services and a daily Resort credit to be used on food and beverage or on-site activities—all of which is now bolstered with this gourmet epicurean experience.

The Winemaker in Residence programming is only available to Resort guests, and reservations are available for USD 395 per person for The Mascot dinner. For reservations call 808 325 8000.
