The Season of Sacred Water: Discover a Different Rhythm of Bali with Four Seasons
Some of Bali’s most rewarding experiences begin with slowing down: learning how herbs become a traditional drink, listening to Balinese gongs beside the sea, or resting in a suspended silk hammock in the Sayan Valley. From October 2026 to March 2027, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan welcome guests to discover a different rhythm of the island through The Season of Sacred Water.
From temple purification ceremonies to the subak irrigation channels that nourish rice terraces, water connects Bali’s spiritual life with the land. This relationship informs a seasonal collection of water-inspired wellness, cultural and culinary experiences at Four Seasons Resorts Bali, with two distinct settings for slowing down: the coast at Jimbaran Bay and the Ayung River valley at Sayan.
Two packages bring the collection into focus: Tides of Renewal at Jimbaran Bay and Flow into Stillness at Sayan. Each two-day program includes breakfast on both days and afternoon tea, pairing restorative experiences with opportunities to discover more of Bali’s living traditions.
Jimbaran Bay: Tides of Renewal
At Jimbaran Bay, Tides of Renewal draws on the restorative rhythm of the coast, combining herbal knowledge, mindful movement and Balinese sound rituals beside the sea.
A hands-on jamu-making session introduces beras kencur, a traditional Indonesian herbal drink made with everyday kitchen botanicals and rooted in generations of home wellbeing rituals. Hatha yoga pairs gentle movement with mindful breathing, encouraging tension to ease and a sense of balance to return. And at the Healing Village Spa, the 120-minute Suara (Sounds of) Jimbaran ritual combines the ocean's music with the deep vibrations of Balinese gongs during a glass stone massage and hydrating rose and sandalwood facial.
Beyond the two-day package, water, colour and sound treatments at the Healing Village Spa and Indonesian classes at Jala Cooking Academy offer further ways to engage the senses and ease into Jimbaran Bay’s coastal rhythm.
Sayan: Flow into Stillness
In the Ayung River valley, Flow into Stillness puts reflection and deep rest at the heart of the experience. The elemental presence of water and earth grounds the journey in its surroundings, while the sounds of the river and forest invite guests to settle into the present and find stillness of their own.
A Life Talk with resident Wellness Mentor Ibu Fera offers time to consider everyday questions of wellbeing through conversation, while her signature Sacred Nap – set to the rush of the mighty river water – invites an hour of meditative rest while suspended in a silk hammock. At the Sacred River Spa, the 120-minute Restu Bumi ritual draws on the land through spiritual cleansing, traditional instruments, aromatic local herbs and a warming gemstone massage with Indonesian moss agate.
In addition to the two-day package, the resort’s seasonal collection includes meditation, Balinese loloh herbal drink making and culinary experiences at Sokasi. The Sacred River Spa’s Tirta Ening ritual offers a further expression of the water theme through steam, crystal-energised water, a monsoon shower, waterbed massage and sound.
From coast to river valley, The Season of Sacred Water encourages guests to take their time with Bali, discovering its traditions, enjoying its landscapes and making space for their own renewal and stillness.
