101 Days of Summer: A Sun-Kissed Afternoon Tea at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Inspired by Malaysia’s summertime vibrancy, The Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur presents its 101 Days of Summer Afternoon Tea, available from June 1 to September 9, 2025.

With summer in full swing, so too is the natural abundance of the tropics. Pineapple, passion fruit, lychee, pomelo – so many tantalising fruits in season, it is hard to pick a favourite. Executive Pastry Chef Yann Roumanille combines these flourishing harvests with classic local flavours such as pandan, kaya and trigona honey, conjuring a balmy paradise in every bite.

This limited-edition afternoon tea is part of the 101 Days of Summer campaign celebrated across Four Seasons hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific. From June 14 to 22, 2025, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will welcome Executive Pastry Chef Lorenzo Sollecito from Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, giving guests a chance to savour his signature jewel-like pastries at The Lounge, as well as a selection of special cakes.

Afternoon Tea Highlights

Showcasing Malaysia’s bounty of summer fruits, the afternoon tea unfolds a lush, orchard-inspired journey at The Lounge. Chef Yann updates teatime traditions by weaving regional flavours and culinary customs into the menu – all with a refreshing modern flair.

Guests can look forward to standouts such as the Passion Fruit Savarin, which blends sun-ripened passion fruit with native chocolate mousse, coconut essence and peanut crunch, and the Banana Cake Planifolia, a composition of locally harvested bananas, vanilla bean and poppy seeds, finished with a luscious dulce de leche glaze. Scones, the teatime staple, are reimagined with Malaysian elements such as honeycomb, bee pollen and pandan kaya jam.

On the savoury side, fresh produce and foraged herbs bring the essence of summer to the table, with highlights including the Sustainable Snapper Hinava, topped with calamansi lime and kulim vinaigrette, and the Summer Vegetable Pie Tee, an elevated take on the Nyonya “top hat” snack, filled with flavours such as chive, jicama, mung bean and black truffle.

Verdant views of KLCC Park frame this locally rooted summer spread, best enjoyed in the company of family and friends. With live piano performances and a curation of seasonal beverages, the stage is set for a magical afternoon in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
