Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya Awarded Green Key Certification for 2025, Advancing Sustainable Hospitality in the Region

Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya has been awarded the prestigious Green Key Certificate for 2025, reinforcing the property’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The certification was officially awarded by Mana El Rez Bassaj, Vice President of the Kuwait Water Association—the national operator of the Green Key program in Kuwait—during a ceremony recognizing the hotel’s exceptional efforts in sustainable hospitality. In a separate visit, Mohamed Najia, Secretary General of the Kuwait Hotel Owners’ Association and Vice Chairman of the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait, extended his congratulations to the team on this achievement.

This achievement adds to the hotel's growing list of environmental recognitions, including LEED Platinum certification, Forbes Verified Responsible Hospitality, and Forbes Five-Star ratings for both the Hotel and Spa.

As part of the Four Seasons For Good program, the hotel has implemented extensive sustainability measures such as AI-enhanced waste management, on-site water bottling, the elimination of single-use plastics, and the introduction of EV charging stations—setting new standards for luxury and environmental responsibility in Kuwait.
