Earlier this year, the Hotel was ranked the #2 Hotel in Japan at the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2025. Discover Kyoto’s Living History

Located in the well-preserved Higashiyama district, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto unveils the city’s cultural and seasonal charms in a contemporary setting, wrapped around an 800-year-old pond garden. The soul of Japan’s ancient capital converges with the serenity of a resort, setting the stage for an immersive exploration. Guests feel a million miles away from Kyoto’s hustle and bustle – when in fact, several famous temples and heritage sites sit within easy reach.

With dining, wellness and cultural experiences hosted around the pond garden, nature’s changing splendours are always within sight – from the delicate dance of springtime sakura to autumn’s dazzling foliage. Seasonal vistas provide a stunning backdrop as guests savour the art of charcoal-grilling at EMBA KYOTO CHOPHOUSE, share an interactive omakase journey at Sushi Ginza Onodera, or step into timeless tea traditions at Shakusui-tei.

Home to one of the largest wellness sanctuaries in the city, the Hotel welcomes guests to rejuvenate with locally inspired rituals by THE SPA – think forest bathing, Zen meditation and more. Kyoto’s renowned artistry comes to life through curated experiences led by local experts such as calligraphers, maikos and monks. Additionally, Cultural Ambassador Nao Yokoyama helms a robust on-site program, introducing guests to the beauty on Japanese culture through hands-on activities and seasonal traditions.

At Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, guests can immerse in the city’s vibrant living history while still enjoying the modern luxury and bespoke service synonymous with Four Seasons.
