Four Seasons Resort Langkawi has received the prestigious distinction of two Michelin keys from the Michelin Guide, taking its place among the world’s most remarkable hotels. The accolade recognizes the Resort for its outstanding design, service and experiences for guests.

This is the first time Michelin keys have been awarded in Malaysia – and Four Seasons Resort Langkawi sits at the very top of the elite list, as the only two-key hotel in the country. Evaluations are based on excellence across the Michelin Guide’s five criteria: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for the price, and significant contribution to the local setting.

Each Michelin key property is already exceptional, with two keys signifying “a hotel that’s unique in every way, where a memorable experience is always a guarantee.” Alongside their rating, Guide Inspectors also highlighted several extraordinary attributes of Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, from its setting along “one of the world’s most stunning beaches” to its lavish guest facilities and diverse culinary offerings.

“We’re honoured to receive two keys from the Michelin Guide, affirming our commitment to crafting unforgettable stays that connect guests with the true essence of Langkawi. This recognition belongs to our incredible team members, who take immense pride in creating immersive moments and memories that last for a lifetime,” says General Manager Ivan Giles.

Unfolding along a pristine mile-long beach along the Andaman Sea, Four Seasons Resort Langkawi brings the island’s natural wonder to the doorstep. Tropical vegetation, dramatic limestone cliffs and ancient rainforests set the scene for inspirational offerings, ranging from meticulously curated wellness journeys to excursions into the surrounding UNESCO Global Geopark.

At the Resort’s pavilions and villas, traditional Malaysian aesthetics meet clean, contemporary lines, delivering a stay that feels rooted yet fresh. World-class facilities include multiple picturesque swimming pools, a stunning spa, and a collection of storied restaurants that channel the vibrant and expansive culinary spirit of Malaysia. The care, craftsmanship and warmth of the Four Seasons team is evident through each experience – as the Michelin Guide observes, “it’s hard to do five-star barefoot luxury better.”
