Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas Honours Women’s History Month with “Art in Bloom” Artist-in-Residence Series

Ketel One Botanical and Fever-Tree pop-up presents BLOOM on PRESS Patio

February 27, 2025,
Las Vegas, U.S.A.

This spring, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas presents a vibrant celebration of Women’s History Month, honouring the brilliance of female artistry and hospitality. From March through May 2025, the Hotel will showcase the inspiring works of Artists-in-Residence Erin Hanson and Rachelle Kearns, whose pieces will create a radiant tribute to women-in-art. This immersive event will be further enhanced by the Ketel One Botanical and Fever-Tree BLOOM pop-up on PRESS Patio, featuring a specially crafted cocktail collection inspired by the beauty and resilience of nature.

Erin Hanson: Capturing the New Season in Open Impressionism

Hailed as a “modern-day van Gogh,” Erin Hanson is best known for her signature Open Impressionism technique, which blends expressive brushstrokes with rich texture to create vivid works of art. At Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, Erin’s floral-inspired collection will take centre stage, with her works prominently displayed throughout the Art in Bloom exhibition, offering guests a deeper connection to her art.

Erin masterfully brings a wild variety of blooms and views to life, using vibrant colours and intricate details to capture the energy of nature’s most delicate subjects. Her unique approach transforms ordinary foliage into bold compositions that radiate warmth and vitality. Each piece invites guests to experience the fluid movement and expressive power of flowers, as Erin’s dynamic brushwork breathes life into every petal and leaf – offering a new perspective on the timeless grandeur of nature.

Guests drawn to Erin Hanson’s appreciation for the natural world can extend their exploration beyond the gallery walls with a signature Four Seasons adventure – the Neon and Nature Helicopter Tour. This excursion offers a breathtaking journey above the striking contrasts of the Las Vegas landscape, where the dazzling neon skyline meets the raw, untamed wonder of Red Rock Canyon. Soaring high above these dramatic vistas, guests are invited to witness nature’s artistry from an entirely new perspective, much like Erin’s paintings reimagine familiar scenes as lively expressions of the surrounding world.

Rachelle Kearns: A Dreamlike Backdrop for Reflection

Rachelle Kearns offers a softer, more introspective approach to abstraction, creating ethereal compositions that capture the quiet beauty of light, air, and the subtle movements of nature. Drawing on the classic principles of pointillism, Rachelle contemporizes the small-scale technique, painting large circles of colour to build light and form, blurring the line between the tangible and the imagined.

Rachelle will create a bespoke feature wall for Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, turning the space into an engaging and visually captivating installation. On Saturday, March 8, 2025, International Women’s Day, she will embellish her feature wall live, offering guests a rare opportunity to witness her artistic process in action. This special installation will serve as a striking focal point within the exhibition, providing an elegant backdrop for pause, photography, and artistic inspiration. Rachelle will return May 9 through May 11, 2025, Mother’s Day Weekend, for special artist interaction events, where she will demonstrate her technique and talent to guests and visitors.

The Artist-in-Residence Series

Curated by Kathryn Freymuller, Commercial Director of Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas and a distinguished fine art graduate of Sotheby’s Institute of Art and the University of Texas at Austin, the Artist-in-Residence program reimagines the Hotel’s corridors as a dynamic gallery space, elevating the guest experience. An avid art collector, Kathryn has personally overseen each exhibition since the program’s inception, thoughtfully selecting artists and guiding them through the curation process. The exhibits, displayed along the corridor connecting the lobby, spa, and hotel, seamlessly integrate fine art with luxury hospitality, offering guests a sophisticated cultural encounter.

"This program is truly meaningful to me, as it not only enriches the environment but also serves as a distinguished platform for artists to engage with an international and discerning audience,” shares Kathryn. “Each piece is available for direct purchase, presenting our guests with the unique opportunity to bring home a tangible connection to their visit while championing contemporary artists and their work."

"Since launching our Artist-in-Residence program in 2023, Kathryn’s visionary curation has continued to infuse our Hotel with thought-provoking installations that captivate our guests," says Konrad Gstrein, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. "Women have always been the heart and soul of the hospitality industry, and we are proud to celebrate their artistry, our guests, and the dedication of our team members through this artfully composed and transformational experience. We are especially excited to welcome Erin Hanson and Rachelle Kearns, whose incredible talent and unique artistic perspectives will bring this season’s exhibition to life."

A Restorative Escape: Cactus Blossom Renewal at The Spa

For a restorative complement to the Art in Bloom exhibit, the Forbes Five-Star Spa and Nail Bar introduces the Cactus Blossom Renewal, an indulgent 80-minute treatment inspired by the rejuvenating properties of the desert. This full-body ritual begins with a gentle foot and back scrub, designed to exfoliate and refresh the skin. A relaxing full-body massage follows, incorporating nutrient-rich botanical oils infused with the delicate essence of cactus blossom. This luxurious treatment restores hydration, soothes tired muscles, and leaves skin feeling radiant and renewed – delivering the ultimate desert escape.

A Toast to Women: BLOOM on PRESS Patio

As spring awakens the Las Vegas desert, PRESS Patio becomes a celebration of renewal with the Ketel One Botanical and Fever-Tree BLOOM pop-up. Just as the Mojave Desert bursts into colour after the winter chill, these cocktails embody the season’s essence – bright, floral, and herbaceous, perfectly capturing the restorative energy of spring. The crisp botanicals and fresh citrus notes reflect the delicate yet tenacious allure of the desert landscape, offering a sensory escape that complements the artistry of Erin and Rachelle’s exhibit. Their art, much like these cocktails, blend elegance with a bold spirit, inviting guests to revel in the splendour of change and rejuvenation.

Each drink tells a story of the season, capturing the essence of spring in every sip. The Citrus Blossom Spritz sparkles with the essence of Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose, complemented by rose water simple syrup, Fresca lemon juice, and a touch of rosé champagne. Finished with berry sorbet, Fever-Tree Sparkling Pink Grapefruit, and a fragrant basil leaf, it embodies the first golden rays of a springtime sunrise. The Herbal Garden Gimlet offers a crisp, garden-fresh take on a classic, blending Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint with a cucumber stick, mint drops, and a hint of Tajín for a subtly spiced finish, all topped with Fever-Tree Sparkling Cucumber – evoking the scent of blooming greenery after a desert rain. The Spring Orchard Blossom is an aromatic mix of Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Blossom, lemon juice, and sparkling wine, enhanced by thyme and a brûléed peach and orange wedge. Finished with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic, it is reminiscent of a warm spring afternoon.

At the heart of the menu stands The Matriarch, a tribute to the strength and grace of women, honouring the generations of female artists who have paved the way. This cocktail blends Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose with honeyed chamomile syrup, symbolizing perseverance and healing. Fresh lemon adds vibrancy and energy, while Fever-Tree Sparkling Grapefruit enhances with an effervescent finish. A lavender sea salt rim nods to wisdom and grace. More than just a drink, it is a toast to the nurturing yet courageous spirit of women everywhere. In the spirit of giving back, a portion of proceeds from The Matriarch will be donated to United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women United affinity group, which funds scholarships for female seniors graduating from Southern Nevada high schools and attending a four-year college or university in the region. These scholarships provide support throughout all four years of enrollment, empowering the next generation of women leaders.

For those looking for a non-alcoholic alternative, the Botanical Bloom mocktail offers a blend of Seedlip Citrus, cucumber, rosemary syrup, lime, and Fever-Tree Sparkling Grapefruit. It delivers the same bright and herbaceous notes of the season, allowing all guests to take part in the tribute of elegance, strength, and transformation.
