Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF Completes Extensive Renovation
New luxury experiences, transformed lobby, refurbished guest rooms and new signature food and drink offerings redefine Mexico City’s landmark hotel
Four Seasons Hotel México DF unveils its new look and new guest experiences after a complete renewal and enhancement process that began during its 20th anniversary celebrations two years ago. The result is a fresher, more sophisticated experience matching the exciting vibe of the city, which was recently named the #1 Place to Go in 2016 by the New York Times.
The contemporary enhancements envisioned by French-based avant-garde designers Gilles & Boissier tastefully complement the traditional hacienda-style building, making it the perfect venue to establish connections in a city that never sleeps.
“The completion of this extensive renovation enables us to fulfill our most important goal: to always offer our guests and customers the highest quality standards in our service and facilities,” says José Adames, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF. “Staying at Four Seasons is like staying in a Mexican home – warm and intimate – with a team of Four Seasons experts always ready to assist.’
The New Look of Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF
Refreshed colours on the famed façade and a redesign of the common areas set the tone for the Hotel’s 240 refurbished rooms and suites. The chosen colour palette incorporates more vibrant and modern tones while enhancing the landmark architecture of the colonial-style property.
The re-imagined lobby incorporates the Mexican hacienda style of common areas that are a series of interconnected, multifunctional spaces to encourage interactions in a more intimate and welcoming environment. These new sophisticated gathering places include warm lounge areas, communal-style seating and work areas, and a library section with fireplaces reminiscent of a home-style hacienda.
The lobby ushers guests to the inner courtyard, a magnificent garden area with a central fountain around which the Hotel was built. Already a favoured spot in Mexico City, the courtyard stands out as a true urban oasis at the heart of Reforma Avenue, the most important and dynamic area in the city. It’s here that multiple signature experiences, including the popular Sunday Brunch, a guided Mexican tequila-tasting and pop-up events take place. A new firepit seating area named "Our Little Secret" and contemplation area with a beautiful small aviary add to the outdoor patio seating of the Hotel’s various dining outlets, bringing this lush garden retreat to life.
New Dining and Drinking Options
Fifty Mils is the one of the city’s top new bars offering signature cocktails and gastropub-style food. The 20 foot (6 metre) long bar creates a focal point for the modern signature cocktails designed by star mixologist Mica Rousseau. The hip yet relaxing ambiance is the perfect stage to entertain against the backdrop of some of the most prestigious Mexican and international DJ beats, creating a perfect atmosphere that makes this venue the new hotspot for hanging out and making connections in the city. The gastropub menu features updates of traditional Mexican street foods prepared with delicious Four Seasons flourish.
Pan Dulce is conceived as a sweet gourmet getaway for coffee, tea and pastry lovers. In this new area, guests can find not only the most exquisite bakery treats, but also a quiet relaxing and casual place to hang out or take out.
Il Becco, a high-end Italian restaurant from chef and entrepreneur Rolly Pavia, opened a year ago offering a culinary exhibition of Italian and Mediterranean fine dining in a stylish environment designed by architect Rafael Sama.
Coming Soon: Reforma 500 will be transformed into a new signature restaurant that promises to be the new hot spot in the city: Zanaya will make its debut early May with a fresh take on Mexican Pacific coast cuisine. The new venue will highlight authentic traditional Mexican cuisine with a bold and fresh concept for local and international food lovers. Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, most recently famed for the highly acclaimed remodel of Café Boulud at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, will lend their signature brasserie-style accents with a modern twist on the classic space. The new design for this indoor/outdoor restaurant will display a warm palette and playful furnishings matching the elegance and relevance synonymous with the Hotel, tastefully respecting the honoured tradition of hosting the city’s most important meetings. Zanaya is destined to take its seat at the table with the best establishments in a city known as one of the world’s culinary powerhouses.
