New York, U.S.A.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, the award-winning luxury lifestyle Hotel located in the heart of TriBeCa, is welcoming eight new artists and designers for Pride Month to The Edit: a space for pop up retail experiences and meaningful connections within The Spa’s third floor boutique.

“We have an amazing line up of designers and artists to spotlight during Pride Month this year and know our guests will enjoy experiencing our transformed retail space at The Edit,” says Monica Domantay, Lifestyle Creative Director. “This month, we also had the opportunity to work with famed New York City street style photographer Robbie Quinn on a photoshoot with our featured designers. We’ll have his work up on The Art of Living and will have signed copies of his book, Street Unicorns: Bold Expressions of Style, available for guests.”

The Edit’s June pop up experience will feature New York’s top artists, designers and brands to celebrate Pride:

ANTARA: Founded by Cord Coen, The ANTARA Organics Collection of full spectrum CBD formulas delivers on the highest standards for purity, potency, and transparency in CBD skincare. Nourishing formulas feature organically grown full spectrum hemp extract to deliver a host of beneficial plant compounds to the body as well as “Zenblend” flower essences to bring calm and relief from stress. The journey to ANTARA began with Coen’s life changing car accident. Left with injuries to his brain and body that doctors said wouldn’t improve, Coen moved to India for a year of intensive therapy, yoga, breathing, meditation, and herbal medicine taken internally, which healed his body and mind. He felt so lucky to be given a second chance at healing that he set forth on a mission to create powerful potions that bring deep wellness, to truly transform the way people feel and function.

AKNVAS: Danish-born designer Christian Juul Nielsen founded AKNVAS after years of working for the industry’s most influential fashion houses such as Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior and Nina Ricci. The collection focuses on thoughtful, well-designed, and innovative clothing for discerning and dynamic women and men. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Olafur Eliasson and Helen Frankenthaler, AKNVAS is associated with modern colourful collections focused on drape, texture, flattering silhouettes, innovative knits and an elevated palette. The product is young, fresh and designed and predominantly made in New York City.

Benjamin Saulnier: As an artist living and working in New York City, Benjamin Saulnier is a self-described aesthetic interpreter, with his work spanning several mediums. He embraces watercolour illustration as a template through which he can explore relationships of colour, identity, composition, and self. Saulnier’s art will be on display and available for purchase at The Edit throughout June. His work has been exhibited at Leslie Lohman Museum of Art, as well as galleries such as Dodomu Gallery, Location Gallery, Ortuzar Projects, Bortolami, and more.

Coco and Breezy: Founded by twin designers Corianna and Brianna Dotson, Coco and Breezy Eyewear is an inclusive, genderless brand most known for creating the late artist Prince’s third eye sunglasses and collaboration with Ciroc and Hersey’s. The Edit will carry a selection of Coco and Breezy’s most popular frames.

Melke: Emma Gage founded MELKE to create a genderfluid collection through sustainable manufacturing practices of separates, outerwear, dresses and knitwear. Gage seeks to empower those who wear the collection and encourage them to style the items to best showcase their identity. The knitwear pieces are handcrafted in India, in partnership with Knit One, Change One (KOCO), a sisterhood of artisans that breaks economic and education cycles and provides financial independence for women.

PRIVATE POLICY: Creative directors Haoran Li and Siying Qu curated Private Policy as an inclusive brand, dedicated to bring the New York rebellious style and fierce free spirit to the world. The brand’s design process is modelled after newspaper outlets by focusing on one social topic each season with the most recent collections exploring a harmonious future between nature and metropolitan lifestyle. With sustainability as the constant pursuit, the designers believe fashion is their outlet to express diversity, build community and inspire meaningful conversations. They design for people who heart fashion and mind the world.

Robbie Quinn: For years, renowned New York-based photographer Robbie Quinn has come across style rebels and bold expressionists on the streets of NYC and the world’s largest cities, stopping them for impromptu photoshoots and testimonials. He’s even given these eccentric lovers of style a name: Street Unicorns. In his popular new book, Street Unicorns: Bold Expressionists of Style, Quinn shares the portraits, viewpoints, and aspirations of more than 250 Street Unicorns with the hopes of inspiring readers to rediscover the most authentic parts of themselves with an emphasis on promoting diversity and inclusion.

Terry Singh: Designer Terry Singh’s work is a testament to the power of fashion in creating social change and promoting cultural diversity and understanding. His approach shows that fashion can be a means of breaking down barriers between cultures and promoting inclusivity, while also providing a platform for expression and identity. By incorporating elements of his Indian ancestry into his clothing line, he is not only promoting his own cultural identity, but also preserving and celebrating an important part of human history and tradition.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown plans to rotate designers within The Edit every few months. The Edit is open Monday–Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. For more details call 646 880 1990.
