Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris Welcomes Spring and Summer with the Reopening of its Celebrated Marble Courtyard

Refreshing summer cocktails and flavourful Mediterranean dishes by Michelin-starred chef Simone Zanoni will have guests dreaming of la dolce vita

The Marble Courtyard of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has reopened, offering guests the chance to sit back and make the most of the beautiful spring weather in the Hotel’s most iconic outdoor dining space. Bathed in natural light, the Courtyard offers one of the most fabulous al fresco settings in Paris to enjoy a convivial meal or drink.

Adorned with spectacular floral arrangements lovingly put together by Artistic Director Jeff Leatham, the Hotel’s celebrated Marble Courtyard will once again feature Leatham’s eye-popping Kaleidoscope.

Leatham says: “I’m so excited to adorn the new Marble Courtyard summer installation with this iconic faceted Vanda orchid fountain sculpture. I hope you will have the opportunity to see this magnificent art piece this summer, a monumental water fountain that was exhibited for several months at the New York Botanical Garden.” Shaped like a vanda orchid – Jeff’s signature flower – this majestic work of art masterfully plays with light and colour, glistening by day as sunrays hit the geometric surfaces in a mesmerising display. Come evening, the work of art is no less impressive, reflecting shadow and movement while capturing depth and illusory reflections.

This year, the Courtyard is appointed with new furniture by celebrated French interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon, renowned for creating the George V’s timeless, sophisticated interiors. In this haven of peace away from the hubbub of central Paris, guests will be able to savour exquisite dishes crafted by Le George’s Michelin-starred Chef Simone Zanoni. Available both at lunch and dinner, the menu includes refreshing summer dishes, with a selection of fish crudos and northern Italian favourites such as beef carpaccio and vitello tonnato - cold sliced veal served with a creamy tuna and anchovy sauce. Among the pasta and risotto mains available are zesty ricotta cheese tortellini served with lemon and fresh mint, and calamari and champagne risotto. A selection of salads, fish and meat dishes complete the menu. Not to be missed are the Chef’s mouth-watering desserts, including his wonderful cheesecake crème brulée with exotic fruits and indulgent chocolate truffles with cerasuola olives and ice cream.

Sommelier Francesco Cosci has painstakingly curated the excellent wine list, which features a carefully thought-out selection of fine wines from Italy, including sparkling wines, whites, rosés and reds that perfectly complement Chef Zanoni’s Mediterranean dishes.

An additional menu, La Terrasse par Simone Zanoni, will be made available throughout the afternoon, with light, summery dishes perfect to enjoy over a convivial bite with friends and family. The menu features the likes of spicy tuna tartare, tomato and sweet pepper gazpacho, and grilled seasonal vegetables. A selection of creative drinks and cocktails that make the most of the season’s ingredients are also available, expertly prepared by the mixology team.

The menu of the starred restaurant Le George will be available every day in the Marble Courtyard for lunch and dinner, with prices starting at EUR 70 per person, excluding drinks. Reservations can be made at (+33) 01 49 52 72 09 or le.george@fourseasons.com. La Terrasse will be served from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
