Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, Unveils This Year’s Festive Yule Log Created by Michael Bartocetti

To celebrate the festive season, Michael Bartocetti, the talented Executive Pastry Chef of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, has unveiled a delicious Yule Log inspired by a snow-dusted tree branch entwined with delicate Christmas roses. Cloaked in a white coat, this delectable creation is a tribute to the chef’s childhood, when he would venture out into the woods near his childhood home to pick winter flowers. Known for their beauty and sweet fragrance, Christmas roses are rare to come by, blooming throughout the colder months of the year.
Resembling a woodland sculpture in bloom, this year’s yule log glimmers in soft ivory tones with a velvety, frosted texture that captures the sparkle and purity of freshly fallen snow. The first bite unfolds as a symphony of textures and nostalgic flavours, offering warmth and comfort in every mouthful.
Coated in a layer of Madagascan vanilla Bavarian cream, the log has a silky vanilla crème brûlée at its heart, layered with luscious hazelnut caramel and delicate pearls of Tahitian and Madagascan vanilla caviar, creating a delicious, floral indulgence. A crisp base of Tulakalum dark chocolate and gianduja, sprinkled with a hint of fleur de sel, and a Burgundy cazette flour biscuit bring roasted depth and a satisfying crunch.
For those who simply cannot wait, Michael Bartocetti and his team will serve their signature Yule Log as a plated dessert at Christmas Tea-Time, a convivial afternoon tea experience available at La Galerie from December 5, 2025.
The Christmas Yule Log by Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris is available to pre-order from October 15, 2025, with collection available from the hotel from December 18, 2025. The Yule Log is priced at 145 EURO and serves eight people.
