Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has been honoured with the prestigious title of World’s Leading Sustainable Supply Chain Programme by the World’s Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards, an international recognition that celebrates the hotel’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Over the last few years, Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has completely reimagined its supply chain model, integrating responsible sourcing, waste reduction and ethical partnerships into every aspect of its operations. Through this award, the hotel demonstrates that true luxury can go hand in hand with excellence, social responsibility, and a deep commitment to the planet.

Sarmad Zok, Chief Executive Officer of Kingdom Hotel Investments (UK) Ltd, states: “At Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, we believe that true luxury can only exist when it is sustainable and exemplary for future generations. Excellence, therefore, extends far beyond the guest experience; it is reflected in every choice we make, from sourcing to our daily operations. Guided by this vision of responsible luxury, and just one year after receiving BREEAM certification, we are proud to continue leading the way, ensuring that each decision we take reflects our deep environmental, social and societal commitment.”

This distinction recognises a series of ambitious initiatives that reflect the hotel’s deep and ongoing commitment to sustainability. Among these, the hotel has introduced a responsible purchasing charter integrating stringent environmental and social criteria into all its procurement processes. The charter spans 14 categories of products and services, ranging from office supplies to technological equipment, emphasising certified materials (Ecolabel, FSC, GOTS), local sourcing, waste reduction and circular economy principles. Since its launch, 66 percent of suppliers have embraced the charter’s principles. Today, more than 81 percent of supplies and packaging are eco-certified, and 100 percent of wood-based products are sourced from FSC or PEFC-certified origins.

This achievement is also the result of tangible, on-the-ground actions. The hotel has optimised energy consumption through intelligent room systems, and reduced water usage across its operations. It has also implemented waste sorting and recycling programs in partnership with Les Alchimistes; greened roofs and courtyards to create natural havens within the urban environment; and installed nesting boxes and insect hotels to preserve and promote local biodiversity.

In line with its commitment to inclusion and social responsibility, Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris works closely with partners that promote the employment of people with disabilities within its supply chain operations. The hotel also partners with associations such as Les Hôtels Solidaires, Unisoap and Le Karithé, which respectively redistribute surplus food, recycle used soap, and transform glass jars into handcrafted candles. These initiatives form part of a broader sustainability framework, “George V for Good,” which structures the hotel’s commitments around six key pillars: responsible consumption, energy efficiency, sustainable water management, waste reduction, social inclusion and engagement with local communities.

“This award is a tribute to the unwavering commitment of our teams, who work every day to redefine the standards of luxury hospitality through a sustainable and responsible model. Thanks to their passion, determination and creativity, we continue to demonstrate that exceptional hospitality and a deep commitment to sustainability can truly go hand in hand,” explains Thibaut Drege, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.

With this prestigious distinction, Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris further consolidates its position as a global benchmark, demonstrating that a luxury hotel can serve as both a symbol of excellence and a catalyst for sustainable transformation, inspiring the entire hospitality industry.
