Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, the Forbes Five-Star oceanfront resort on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, announces that for the second consecutive year, all three of its signature restaurants Aramara, Bahía and Dos Catrinas have earned the Award of Excellence in Wine Spectator’s 2026 Restaurant Awards, celebrating the world’s best restaurants for wine. This global recognition honours wine lists that offer a well-chosen assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

“For the second year in a row, Wine Spectator's recognitions affirm that wine is an integral part of our story in Punta Mita,” said John O’Sullivan, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. “Our culinary teams ensure every wine list deepens the dining experience, matching the selections to the character and cuisine of the restaurant. That thoughtful consistency is the standard we hold ourselves to.”

From toes-in-the-sand dinners at Bahía to the umami-forward depths of Aramara and the all-Mexican cellar at Dos Catrinas, the resort's dining program offers a distinct approach to wine at every table, shaped by the ingredients, traditions and coastline of Nayarit. For Aramara and Bahía, this marks their second consecutive year of recognition; for Dos Catrinas, it is the third, reflecting the enduring excellence of wine programs across the resort.

About the Award-Winning Restaurants:

  • Aramara: Punta Mita’s Pan-Asian destination, Aramara fuses classical Asian techniques with the freshest local ingredients from the Banderas Bay region. Its globally inspired wine list, featuring more than 120 selections, is built for harmony with the menu’s umami-forward flavors, with an emphasis on aromatic whites and structured reds and strong representation from Latin America and Europe.
  • Bahía: The resort’s quintessential beachside restaurant, Bahía is known for freshly grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables with sweeping Pacific views. Its wine list complements the wood-fired menu with approximately 85 selections, with an emphasis on crisp whites, rosés, and bold reds, celebrating both New World varietals and organic producers.
  • Dos Catrinas: In the heart of the resort, Dos Catrinas serves contemporary Mexican fare with a craft cocktail program recognized among the best in the country. For the third consecutive year, Dos Catrinas earns the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for its all-Mexican wine list which champions female winemakers and sustainable practices across Mexico’s growing wine regions.

Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards recognize excellence in restaurant wine service across three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award, with 2,083, 1,830, and 99 winners this year in each respective category. The Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists offer at least 75 selections and feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
