Four Seasons Hotel Seattle welcomes guests to a newly refreshed 6,000-square-foot (557-square-metre) Spa, where the elemental beauty of the Pacific Northwest sets the tone for a deeply restorative experience in the heart of downtown Seattle.

New Spaces to Retreat and Transition to Calmness

Central to the redesigned Spa is a new co-ed relaxation lounge, created as a quiet transition between the energy of the city and the healing treatments that follow. A backlit Himalayan salt wall casts a warm glow across the space, while sheer drapery and plush seating create a sense of privacy and softness.

“The Spa has always been an extension of the experience we want our guests to have throughout the Hotel: a sense of being cared for in a way that feels personal,” said Graham Williamson, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. “With the refresh, the space is designed to support that and slow time down for an urban escape.”

The new wellness journey continues with spa amenities including updated men’s and women’s changing areas and steam rooms, where layered stone, mosaic tile and rounded forms echo the organic shapes of river stones. In the women’s sauna, backlit Himalayan salt blocks and a starry ceiling evoke the quiet brilliance of a clear night in the Cascade Mountains.

The Spa features eight treatment rooms, including a couples’ treatment suite and a new nail salon. Perfect for an intimate group of four, the two manicure and two pedicure stations offer natural light from windows framing the vibrant Seattle waterfront.

Designed by KES Studio, the vision for the redesign draws on movement through a misted shoreline or along the sculpted edges of Puget Sound. The Spa brings together natural materials, softened light and thoughtful details that reflect the landscape beyond the hotel.

Limestone-look porcelain, stone and sculptural wood forms in the expanded retail area create a sense of permanence and ease, while a palette of warm taupes, creams and driftwood tones recalls Seattle’s softened sunlight.

Treatments Rooted in Seattle and Results

“The Spa’s evolving menu brings together nature-inspired rituals inspired by the Pacific Northwest region’s evergreen forests, mineral-rich elements and even Seattle’s artisan coffee culture, creating treatments that are refined yet grounded in a sense of place,” said Spa Director, Jonathan Kalaikai. “Results-oriented therapies are designed to address the needs of modern skin and body care.”

Among the new offerings is the Puget Sound Meditation Massage, a unique experience that pairs therapeutic massage with vibro-acoustic sound and vibration therapy on specialized Mind Sync treatment beds. The treatment begins with massage focused on releasing tension in the back and shoulders before transitioning into a 25-minute meditation inspired by the soothing rhythms of Puget Sound.

The new Resurfacing Facial offers a focused approach to renewing and refining the complexion. Gentle sonic exfoliation smooths the skin’s surface before it is rebalanced, hydrated and replenished, leaving the complexion refreshed and luminous.

Recognized as Seattle’s only Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Spa, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle offers a retreat within the city with massages, body treatments, facials and nail services. Guests can enhance their Spa visit with an overnight stay at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle for full access to the outdoor infinity pool and Fitness Centre. For more information, visit the Spa online.
