Savour A Month of Sweet Treats at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

February 3, 2021,
Seoul, Korea

With Lunar New Year and Valentine’s festivities both falling in the same February weekend in 2021, Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is inviting guests to slow down, savour new beginnings, and celebrate the season of love in style with a month-long program of sweet treats and special experiences.

From slowing down with a sumptuous breakfast in bed to sipping chocolate-inspired cocktails in Maru to savouring artful delights courtesy of Confection’s chocolate promotion, carefully considered treats help couples and chill-seeking families skip the stress and focus on the most important thing in life: each other.

“With restrictions on travel, we wanted to make Four Seasons Hotel Seoul a haven of love and connection for all this February,” says Alexandre Chersouly, Pastry Chef.  “Traditional romantic gestures such as delicate chocolates, artistic floral bouquets and intimate dinners receive a Four Seasons Seoul twist in experiences and packages that prioritise the sweetest of treats for everyone.”

Central to many of the experiences is Valrhona, the world’s finest chocolate, produced in the little village of Tain L’Hermitage, France since 1922. Low in fat, calories and sugar but rich in purity and taste, Valrhona is the go-to brand for the world’s leading pastry chefs and gourmands, and perfect for guilt-free indulgence of the highest order.

On-Trend Treats at Confections

As Korea’s taste for the finest pastries and cakes grows, so too does the queue outside Confections, the Hotel's tantalising patisserie. Celebrating the season with a new chocolate promotion, one of the city’s most exciting pastry chefs – French-born Chef Chersouly – is set to delight all-comers with confectionery that is a work of art on both the plate and the palate.

Sweet new chocolatey surprises range from delicate mini cakes such as chocolate and gianduja pain de gene and pecan caramel treat to the pretty heart-shaped "heart beat." Larger cakes include a rich intense dark chocolate tart, the "Azteque’s" stunning sugar artistry, and an abundantly decorated strawberry tart whispering notes of laid-back, love-filled summer days. There are also traditional sweetbreads that feature cannele de Bordeaux vanilla plus melt-in-the-mouth muffins, brownies and more.

Sip Your Way To Chocolate Heaven

Maru is also celebrating the season of love in sippable chocolate form. For those with sweet tooth, the dark hot chocolate and coco orange chocolate are the perfect choice. For chocolate cocktail lovers, the two new speciality cocktails include Chocolate Old-Fashioned with cacao cognac, chocolate bitters and aged rum; and White Hazel, a frivolous concoction of Caribbean aged rum, Italian hazelnut, clarified milk, black tea and white cacao, are not to be missed.

Romance On Tap

Couples tired of always rushing around with no time for one another have the perfect opportunity to tap into special moments together this month with the Hotel’s Sweet Stay Experience.  Highlights include a rose petal floral bath, Valrhona chocolate platter, complimentary access to the Hotel’s iconic bar, Charles H; and a hangover-healing late check-out of 2:00 pm. Sweeten the deal further by adding a leisurely breakfast in bed.
