OUL’s Out for Summer: An Al Fresco Reimagining of OUL at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

May 26, 2025,
Seoul, Korea

This summer, OUL at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul extends its homage to the every-changing identity of after-hours Seoul al fresco.  From May 9 to October 31, 2025, the indoor hotspot will take up a new outdoor residency on the hotel’s 15th floor terrace. From 5:00 to 10:00 pm every Monday to Saturday, Summer OUL will bring fresh seasonal verve: inventive new flavours, exclusive promotions, sky-high cityscape views and breezy surrounds for the essential summer lounge experience.

Heritage with a Twist

Famed for its artful fusion of heritage and innovation, OUL serves up cutting-edge mixology and gastronomy. Creative cocktails reinterpret Korea's homegrown produce and long culture of liquor crafting through a modern lens. Local liquors, bar-crafted cordials and seasonal ingredients shine in exclusive creations by Head Bartender Seungjeong Ike Ryu and his team: vivid concoctions and inventive dishes that marry bold flavours and Instagrammable style.

Summer Sips

Summer OUL brings the bar’s trailblazing vision to a chic open-air setting. Against elevated views of Gyeongbokgung, Inwangsan and Bukhansan, a buzzing ambience channels the season's carefree energy.

The cocktail menu showcases two highlights from each of OUL’s three signature themes – Traditional, Turn of the Century, and Today & Beyond. Together, the six creations represent a masterclass in modern mixology.

Highlights include: Hwachae, a fresh, fizzing fusion of Korean gin, pear, chrysanthemum, honey and yuzu ginger seltzer; the sweetly silky Sikhye, which dazzles with soju, pumpkin cordial, whey milk and chai fermented rice tea, and the invigorating Seoul Mule - an unexpected fusion of garlic butter vodka with citrus, garlic honey and ginger seltzer.

Imaginative non-alcoholic creations include Omija, an aromatic blend of omija berry cordial, citrus, honey and omija craft soda; and Ssook-Tteok, a sumptuous blend of barley tea, mugwort cordial, sweet bean powder, cream and sesame oil.

A curated selection of premium Korean liquors – including makgeolli, cheongju, soju and Korean whisky – round out the drinks menu.

Flavours to Savour

New summer-inspired dishes join OUL’s celebrated signatures of classic Korean flavours delivered with bold creativity. Served on brass, stoneware and woven trays, each plate imparts tradition with a modern edge; playful combinations of interactive guest experiences and immersive gastronomy.

Seasonal specials include Mulhoe, a fresh, fiery Korean raw fish soup of octopus, abalone and flounder with a spicy and sour sauce. Bulgogi Bao unites tender grilled Hanwoo beef with piquant pickled cucumber, peppers and coriander. Add three types of succulent Skewers – lamb, chicken and vegetable; two burgers – a Classic Burger and Korean Fried Chicken Burger – and an inventive take on the time-honoured Korean fruit punch, Watermelon Hwachae.

OUL’s signature favourites also shine on the summer menu: the meltingly soft Lobster Tteokbokki with fish cake, fried tofu, rice cakes and light glass noodles; Hanwoo Yukhoe showcasing locally sourced beef tartare, soy sauce, sesame, Korean pear, chive, and quila eggs; the flavour explosion of Kimchi Bombs; classic Korean Jeon reimagined with beef, scallop, cuttlefish, shrimp and spring onion.

Exclusive Offers

Two offers make the season even sweeter. Happy OUL, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm until May 31, includes two drinks – cocktails, mocktails or craft beers – and one dish for KRW 85,000 per person. The Summer Bubble, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, adds seasonal sparkle throughout the summer, pairing OUL’s signature Hanwoo Yukhoe with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier 2015 Vintage Champagne for KRW 330,000.

In the event of inclement weather, Summer OUL will move inside – keeping the bar's vibrant energy pumping, come rain or shine, all season long.
