"We recognise that pets are like family members for many of our guests," says Anja Gugger, Director of Rooms at the 294-room property. "When they’re able to bring their pets along on their travels, it automatically makes them feel more at home, which is our ultimate goal in the hospitality industry."

Pets will also feel right at home thanks to the Hotel's resort-like backyard, complete with verdant greenbelts and sprawling green lawns where they can frolic to their hearts' content. For a longer trek, the 10-mile (16 kilometre) Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail is just steps away.

Leashed pets are also allowed to dine on the restaurant's outdoor patio, where they're given bowls of water and complimentary dog biscuits. Pets who prefer to dine in the comfort of their room can order from a special room service menu featuring tongue-in-cheek items such as the hearty Hungry Like a Wolf dinner entree.
