The thriving nightlife scene in Bogota has a place for every Four Seasons guest
To begin with, one doesn’t need to travel far. Four Seasons boasts top-quality dining at both Nemo, located at Four Seasons Hotel Bogota, and Castanyoles, at Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina. Award-winning mixologist Jeisson Caro can be found behind the atmospheric bar at Nemo, serving classic cocktails as well as more experimental delights. As for Castanyoles, the cocktail menu is inspired by local ingredients and each drink will be served with Colombian flair and service.
Venturing out of the Four Seasons, there are plenty of other spots to find a bustling and lively atmosphere. Bogota itself has a number of “zones” which are home to sections of quality bars and restaurants. Zona T, which is also known as Zona Rosa, is one of the most popular areas for both locals and tourists to enjoy an evening out.
Only a few blocks away from Zona T, situated on Calle 67a #12-26, is Liberatrix cocktail bar. The concept of the bar is a personal, intimate space with a high-quality level of service. The bar and cocktail menu is named after and inspired by Manuela Sáenz who was the girlfriend of Simon Bolivar during his most active period. Sáenz was a strong and independent woman and saved Bolivar’s life during an assassination attempt, for which he named her ‘the liberator of the liberator’. The cocktails at Liberatrix are crafted using techniques that have been perfected over years by owner Chris Giamporcaro in the United States and then paired with Colombian flavors and fruits.
Another fun and trendy cocktail bar located within Zona T is Segundo, which boasts one of the most stunning interiors in the city. The restaurant champions local ingredients and works with small producers. For a relaxing evening, one can sit at the bar and order tapas and cocktails while chatting to the friendly bar staff. The bar is located on Calle 85 #12-90.
For the best place to catch the sunset, visit the rooftop bar of Click Clack, located on Carrera 11 #93-77. The bar is a short walk from the Zona T area and boasts views of across the city, as well as a small but charming classic cocktail menu.
Another recommended “zone” is Zona G, which is home to Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina. Zona G, which stands for the gourmet zone, is home to Mexican, Colombian, Japanese and Peruvian cuisine and also boats a plethora of high-quality bars. Nazca, famous for its Peruvian food, serves the freshest and most delicious seafood delivered straight from the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant also has an impressive wine menu, and its servers will help you to choose which is best paired with your meal. It’s situated on Calle 74 #5-28, which is under a ten-minute walk and less than a five-minute taxi ride from Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina.
For beer-lovers, Colombian’s capital city is home to a chain of pubs named Bogota Beer Company, which serve a selection of craft beers named after areas of the city. The chain of taverns, which also serve light food, can be found in both Zona T and Zona G.
Additionally, any member of staff at Four Seasons Bogota or Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina are happy to recommend other nightlife spots and fine-dining experiences to guests.
