Dr. Mai Tai – Writing Prescriptions Daily

What do lilikoi, pineapple, and lime juice all have in common?  The making of a perfect recipe – or rather prescription, as Dr. Mai Tai likes to say.  Dr. Mai Tai is the "on call" cocktail doctor at Four Seasons Resort Oahu, and you can find him making his daily poolside rounds with signature rum-infused prescription elixirs.  The Sunset Mai Tai, just one of five signature libations found at the doctor’s well-appointed swim-up bar – appropriately named Dr. Mai Tai’s - combines the delicious and fruity flavours of the tropics.  Accompanying the Sunset Mai Tai, the menu features four other Mai Tai varieties inspired by the area, including the Hillside Mai Tai, East-West Mai Tai, Hawaiian Honey Mai Tai, and Maui’s Hook Mai Tai.

Adding to the sweet sips, Dr. Mai Tai’s bar features a stylish vintage-meets-modern exterior design by acclaimed Oahu artist Nick Kuchar, with his signature travel-inspired aesthetic.  Sip, swim and savour innovative cocktails with a reimagined twist, while taking in breath-taking ocean views from this transformed coveted poolside location.

Sunset Mai Tai

Combine the following:

• Old Lahaina light rum 1.5 oz
• Old Lahaina dark rum .5 oz
• House made cherry spiced vanilla puree .5 oz
• Amaretto ¼ oz
• Cointreau ¼ oz
• Lilikoi juice
• Pineapple juice
• Lime juice
• Rock Candy swivel or Red Vine garnish
