Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is one of five new Four Seasons properties to receive its first Forbes Five Star designation in 2023. The Athens Riviera icon is the first property in the Greek capital to achieve the award and one of a record-breaking total of 73 Five Star Awards awarded this year across Four Seasons global portfolio of hotels, resorts, restaurants, and spas – the most held by any hospitality company.

Held annually, the Forbes Travel Guide Awards are considered the benchmark for excellence in the industry. Defined by Forbes as “outstanding, often iconic properties with virtually flawless service and amazing facilities,” its top-ranked Forbes Five Star properties are those that offer the highest possible levels of service with quality facilities to match.

Since reopening in 2019 after a full renovation, Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens has redefined the luxury hotel market in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. Named Greece’s Leading Luxury Hotel in 2022 at the World Travel Awards, the vast 30-hectare (75-acre) property dazzles all who visit with its rich heritage, serene beachfront setting, and a dedicated team totalling up to 900 dedicated individuals during peak season.

“We are honoured and grateful to have received this prestigious accolade,” says Regional Vice President and General Manager Philippe Roux-Dessarps. “The entire team of Four Seasons Astir Palace is always focused on creating unforgettable experiences for our guests and patrons; this is a true acknowledgement of their relentless efforts.”

Just 30 minutes from Athens International Airport, Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is a stylish sanctuary tucked away on a peaceful pine-clad peninsula complete with three private sandy coves. An all-encompassing escape from the bustle of the city - yet within easy access of its attractions - the Hotel has 303 accommodations split into three distinct types for couples, families and groups.

Resort-like amenities dotted across the Hotel’s sea-facing expanse include eight exciting restaurants, lounges and bars, ranging from Chef Luca Piscazzi’s Michelin-starred restaurant Pelagos, to the relaxed "island" atmosphere of the isolated, wave-lapped Taverna 37; the ever-vibrant Avra Bar to the toes-in-the sand Kyma Beach Club. There’s also a high-end Tennis Academy in partnership with Tipsarevic Luxury Tennis and a Spa inspired by the teachings of Hippocrates. Along the Hotel’s sparkling Saronic Sea beachfront, a private jetty offers a wide range of water sports as well as scheduled and private boat excursions to the extraordinary Saronic and Cyclades islands and their beautiful hidden coves and picturesque towns.
