Sankranti - or Harvest - Specials at CUR8 at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru

Celebrate the bounty of the season with special additions in the dinner buffet

January 14, 2020,
Bengaluru, India

Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru will celebrate the various Harvest Festivals of India this January at CUR8.

In India, Makara Sankranti, Lohri, Pongal, and Bihu are the major harvest festivals that traditionally fall on January 15 every year, as per the solar calendar. They celebrate the end of the harvest season and the arrival of longer days after the winter solstice. While different states follow diverse customs and rituals, they all represent the cultural diversity and varied landscapes of the country.

Join the celebrations of the harvest season with a line-up of seasonal delicacies from around the country. From January 15 to 19, 2020 at dinnertime, the Indian food counters at the CUR8 buffet will have some delightful new offerings celebrating the bounty of harvest. Executive Sous Chef Dirham Haque and North Indian cuisine specialist Chef Amarjeet Singh have curated a special menu, featuring specials such as the Punjabi favourite makke di roti and sarson da saag, the Bihari staple Lltti chokha, the traditional Tamilian pongal and khara bhaat. Since sweet endings are a must, guests can end their dinner with the customary gud ka halwa.
