Copitas at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru Presents Negroni Week

Copitas, the stylish destination bar on Level 21 of Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, is back in action. Soon after its reopening post the lockdown, the young team of talented mixologists will be celebrating Negroni Week from September 17 to 20, 2020 as a tribute one of the world’s greatest, most complex and sophisticated cocktails, the Negroni.

A special menu for Negroni Week has been curated with cocktails such as the Classic Negroni, a perfectly blended archetypal cocktail; the Crazy Rich Negroni with its fragrant Asian undertones of coffee and pandan leaf; as well as The Last Supper, a twist to Negroni, which is surprisingly fruity, with a mint and citrus overlay.

Invented in 1919 in Florence, there is a certain legacy and history attached to the cocktail Negroni, which was in itself, a serendipitous mistake.  Count Camillo Negroni asked his friend and bartender Fosco Scarselli to strengthen his favourite cocktail, the Americano by replacing the soda water with gin. Thus was born one of the greatest cocktails, adored by millions, and a deft coming together of gin, Campari and vermouth.

Since 2013, Negroni Week has grown from about 120 participating venues to more than 12,000 venues around the world. However, using the hashtag #negroniweek, this year the celebrations will be mostly digital. Presented by Imbibe Magazine and Campari, this will bring together scores of participating bars and bartenders.

“Since 2020 has been an unusual year, we would love to welcome guests and patrons to come by and enjoy some lighthearted moments with their favourite cocktails at Copitas. Unlike most other destinations, we are not just online but very much open and looking forward to mixing up the perfect Negronis,” sums up Sarath Nair, Bar Manager of Copitas.

Copitas is the chic and atmospheric new bar that opened its doors in February 2020. The sophisticated interiors have an underlying touch of luxury, the funky art lends a touch of whimsy and the Level 21 vantage point allows for gorgeous sunset views. But the winning quotient remains the energetic team of mixologists who are eager to shake up the most amazing cocktails, served with a Four Seasons touch.
