This season, Penrose Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel at Dubai International Financial Centre unveils its new Summer Afternoon Tea. Crafted with a passion for the sunny season and inspired by the bounty of refreshing and alluring seasonal produce, Penrose Lounge invites guests to indulge in a menu of sweet and savoury delights that capture the essence of summer flavours and evoke a touch of nostalgic sunshine every afternoon.

Served daily from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, the Summer Afternoon Tea has been curated by the masterful techniques and creative minds of Executive Chef Rami Nasser and talented Pastry Chef Gianmarco Stifani. Featuring an array of summer’s freshest ingredients and comforting delicacies, the Summer Afternoon Tea is the ultimate indulgence for a sophisticated and stylish summer afternoon escape.

The menu includes an artful fusion of treats including Strawberry & Vanilla Tart. Charmingly synonymous with summer, this delicacy is filled with a citrus and vanilla madeleine, fresh vanilla Chantilly cream and a vividly pink strawberry compote, aromatic strawberries, and a soft sprinkling of pink pepper. Apricot and Pistachio is a feast for the senses including rich pistachio mousse enveloped in a fruity apricot and vanilla compote atop fine crispy rice.

The sweet summer infused journey continues with Coconut - a tropical delight featuring citrus baba with a fragrant coconut mousse, nestled with fresh mango and pineapple and a vanilla and mango gel, adorned with coconut chips and shavings of lime zest. Maritozzo is the epitome of Roman decadence, with soft and fluffy brioche buns generously bursting with vanilla Chantilly and pastry cream and scented with citrus zest.

The savoury selection will delight the palate and includes an Heirloom Tomato Tart. Mini tomato flavoured tartlets are arranged with a medley of juicy and colourful cherry tomatoes, dollops of ricotta and tomato cream, fragrant basil leaves and white tomato jelly. Avocado & Cucumber Sandwich is a perfect combination of soft buttery avocado layered with refreshing cucumbers and cream cheese on top of freshly baked brown bread. Other highlights include Truffle Turkey Roll and Foie Gras in Raspberry Jelly, as well as an indulgent and fanciful Smoked Salmon & Caviar Infladita.

No afternoon tea would be complete without a selection of scones. Freshly baked, perfectly light, and served with an assortment of preserves, the timeless tradition beautifully completes the experience. Accompanied with a meticulously curated coffee and tea program, the Summer Afternoon Tea can be elevated with a glass of bubbly, adding extra opulence and sparkle to the afternoon.
