Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston, has just been awarded the coveted AAA Five Diamond designation for 2021. In addition to now being part of an elite group of hotels across the country, Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is the only new property to receive the AAA Five Diamond designation this year across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Additionally, the Hotel was also recognised with AAA’s Best of Housekeeping designation.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the chic Back Bay neighbourhood, Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is just steps from Symphony Hall, Newbury Street, Copley Plaza, Fenway Park and so much more. Designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in collaboration with Gary Johnson of CambridgeSeven Associates, the glass skyscraper soars above the city as the third tallest building in Boston, dazzling at 724 feet (220 metres) in height. Surrounding the elliptical "guitar pick" shaped building are streetscapes by landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh.  Bill Rooney of Bill Rooney Studio Inc was commissioned to drive the design aesthetic of the Hotel's public spaces and guest rooms. The masterful interior design exemplifies a cutting-edge modern aesthetic, ultimately creating the premier hotel experience in Boston.

Ideal for both leisure and business guests, the Hotel features 215 guest rooms and suites; The Wellness Floor at One Dalton featuring a spa, fitness centre and indoor heated lap pool; Zuma, the internationally-acclaimed Japanese izakaya-inspired restaurant and bar; Trifecta Lobby Lounge; more than 11,000 square feet (1,000 square metres) of dedicated meeting and event space across two floors; a world-renowned art collection curated by Kate Chertavian; and 160 private residences.

Earning the AAA Five Diamond designation acknowledges Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston as one of North America’s most luxurious accommodations and a premier establishment within the hospitality industry. The designation is only given to top-tier hotels that offer world-class luxury, amenities and indulgence for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In the upper echelon of AAA Diamond hotels and restaurants are just 182 Five Diamonds (119 hotels and 63 restaurants) and 2,354 Four Diamonds (1,731 hotels and 623 restaurants). Out of 53,000 AAA Diamond designated hotels and restaurants across North America, only 0.3% have earned the coveted Five Diamond designation and 4.4% have achieved Four Diamond status.

To earn the coveted AAA Five Diamond designation, hotels and restaurants must pass a rigorous evaluation that includes unannounced, in-person inspections, anonymous overnight stays for hotels, and, finally, review by a panel of experts as an additional step to ensure credibility. All AAA Diamond Program hotels and restaurants are reevaluated annually to ensure they provide the best experience for travellers and diners.
