Not only the source of gentle light for a soothing atmosphere, natural soya wax candles, once melted, become a warm, fragrant oil for massage - a unique concept for an aromatic couple's treatment that is the foundation of one of the most romantic experiences at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita. Blended with the oils of ylang ylang, rosemary and bergamot, the specially created candles feature in a rejuvenating 90 minute couple’s massage, which is followed by a gourmet après-spa dinner to complete the After Eight Spa & Gourmet experience.

In a private Spa suite, which overlooks the calm waters of the Indian Ocean lagoon, couples begin with a 90 minute massage, where the warmth of the candle wax oil soothes the skin to allow daily stresses and tension to fade away. After the treatment, a completely privatised Spa allows the couple to enjoy a magical dining experience in secluded luxury.

Greeted from their treatment suite by a waiter, the couple will be escorted to their dining pavilion and presented with a gourmet menu that includes poached scallops, duck liver terrine, lagoon oysters, a selection of cheeses and homemade desserts, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. Left alone to enjoy the intimate dining experience in the beautiful surroundings, couples will be provided with a mobile phone on which they may call for any requests or assistance.
