The Decadent 48-Hour Food and Beverage Itinerary

February 4, 2019,
New York, U.S.A.

Curated by the Hotel's culinary team, this itinerary will have guests of Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown travelling throughout Lower Manhattan in search of the ultimate in local libations and decadent treats.

As the creators of our Restaurant in Your Room Program, the team believes that, “Dining in should be a choice not a necessity. It should be an experience you look forward to that touches all your senses, just as it does when dining in a restaurant. From the presentation to the quality of your dish, the visual appeal and the aroma of a meal prepared with warmth and care, we would like to become your favourite restaurant in the city - no reservations required.”

For those who want to venture out, Four Seasons suggests this itinerary.

Day One:

  • Wake up and enjoy breakfast in bed with a view. We highly recommend ordering the avocado toast (the most popular item on the menu), accompanied by a cold pressed power juice. Hold off on the caffeine for now!
  • On your way over to Brooklyn, stop in at La Colombe Rosters (the featured coffee here at Four Seasons New York Downtown) on Wall Street for your first caffeine fix. Make sure you order their signature draft latte – this is much different from the retail canned option; this is straight from the tap. This chilled latte is a mixture of aerated milk and espresso that results in a light and frothy drink.
  • Head to Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery for a cupcake. The selections are endless but our favourite is the crème brulee cupcake.
  • Then onto Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Cobble Hill for a nitro cold brew.
  • Still in Brooklyn, make a stop for lunch at Runner & Stone on 3rd Avenue.
  • Now it’s onto our favourite part of the itinerary – the beer tasting! First, hit Six Point Brewery in Red Hook, walk to Van Brunt Stillhouse Distillery (we really like the single malt and the rye and the rum) and then finish up at Strong Rope Tap Room.
  • On your way back to Manhattan, stop for dinner at Cecconi's in Dumbo, which offers great waterfront dining and a stunning view of Manhattan. They are famous for their incredible pasta (specifically the spaghetti with lobster) and a fantastic wine list.

Day Two:

  • Wake up early and head to Dominique Ansel's Bakery for a famous cronut. It is totally worth the wait. They do feature many other amazing pastries if you want to choose something else. Grab a small coffee while you are there.
  • Stop for a bubble tea at Boba Guys on Canal Street in China Town.
  • Head over to NoLita and enjoy a late lunch at The Butcher's Daughter in Nolita, (but don’t order dessert). This vegetable-based restaurant has really impressed us. The deli-style reuben sandwich was a welcome surprise and as an avid meat eater, we couldn’t even tell.
  • Head to Milk Bar in the Financial District to get some cereal milk ice cream
  • Then it’s back to the Hotel to enjoy a drink in the bar at CUT by Wolfgang Puck. They have an incredible cocktail list and the mixologists can make any drink of choice.
  • After a long day out, curl up in your Four Seasons bed and order dinner from In Room Dining while you relax in the comfort of your room.
