Four Seasons Hotel Denver Highlights Commitment to Sustainability
Four Seasons Hotel Denver is committed to preserving and regenerating the environment, leaving a positive and enduring impact on the local community. The hotel highlights a commitment to sustainability through a variety of important conservation goals and initiatives in 2025. This year the hotel’s key sustainability goals include a reduction in energy by 4 percent, carbon by 4 percent, water by 2 percent, and a waste diversion of 5 percent. In order to meet these important milestones, the team has taken a number of steps to improve sustainability results across the property.
Earlier this month, Four Seasons Hotel Denver installed a new Smart Valve system in the hotel that will reduce water usage by a minimum of 10 percent each month, the first hotel in the brand to do so. The engineering team is also completing LED lighting conversions throughout guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces with integrated motion sensors in low-traffic areas to reduce energy consumption. The hotel constantly fine-tunes the Building Management System to ensure HVAC, lighting, and equipment run only when needed, with a current focus on manually reducing energy use in unoccupied guest rooms until automation can be implemented. The property has a recycling program in place, including for specialty items such as lightbulbs, batteries, kitchen grease/oil, and metal.
The culinary team at EDGE Restaurant & Bar has partnered with Kaizen Food Rescue to donate excess food to the local community. The organization has distributed more than 17.5 million pounds (7.9 million kilograms0 of fresh food, supporting hundreds of thousands of families across 100 zip codes. Additionally, EDGE Restaurant & Bar has almost entirely eliminated single use plastics, replacing them with alternative options such as 100 percent biodegradable agave straws and cutlery, and recyclable and compostable service and takeaway containers. EDGE Restaurant & Bar offers menu items with ingredients sourced from local purveyors and farmers, sustainable and seasonal menu items, organic, vegan and vegetarian menu selections, and pasture-raised natural beef and cage-free eggs. The restaurant has a composting program in place and internal practices to control and reduce food waste.

The world’s most advanced electric vehicle now offers easy access to the heart of the city. Additionally, the hotel offers electric vehicle charging stations for guests’ and residents’ personal vehicles.
In the guest rooms, Four Seasons Hotel Denver has eliminated single-use plastics, including water bottles and bathroom amenities. The hotel has a guest linen and towel reuse and donation program in place, and eco-certified cleaning products are used. The hotel’s suppliers are encouraged to reduce unnecessary packaging, with a focus on partnering with sustainable suppliers for hotel purchasing and products. Recyclable copper and silver art pieces by Aldo Chaparro are featured throughout the hotel.
In honour of Earth Day, Four Seasons Hotel Denver is encouraging staff to participate in a volunteer event cleaning up a local park.
