Four Seasons Hotel Doha announces the appointment of Mohamed Abou Doh as Director of Marketing. A well-travelled Four Seasons veteran heading into his third decade with the company, Abou Doh is excited to be part of the post-World Cup hospitality scene in the capital of Qatar and developing innovative strategies to shape and promote the Hotel’s luxury guest experience for international travellers and locals in the heart of the city and along the Arabian Gulf.

“It is great to be here in Doha leading marketing and more for the luxury brand that helped put this destination on the map,” says Abou Doh. “As Qatar focuses on growing its tourism industry, Four Seasons is well positioned to capitalize on new opportunities that will come our way.”

Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, Abou Doh grew up dreaming of travelling the world, inspired by his mother, who spoke four languages, and father, who played football on the Egyptian Military team. He saw a career in luxury hospitality as the way to accomplish it, and after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in hotel management from the University of Alexandria and joining an international hotel company in his hometown, he crossed the Mediterranean with a friend to open a small restaurant and bar in Milan, Italy.

The restaurant was a success and remains so today. But when Abou Doh discovered that Four Seasons had a hotel in Milan, he joined the sales team with responsibility for the GCC market including Doha, an important feeder market for the property given Italy’s good relations with Qatar. It was the start of a career that now has taken him to eight Four Seasons properties on four continents.

Abou Doh stayed on for 11 years, rising to Associate Director of Sales covering the Middle Eastern, Russian, and Chinese markets including Hong Kong for both Four Seasons Hotel Milano and its sister address in Florence. He then moved on to join the opening teams of Four Seasons properties along Jumeirah Beach and at the International Financial Centre in Dubai, and later became Director of Sales and Marketing in Tunis, followed by Director of Marketing first in Montreal, then in Alexandria.

Now leading an international team with oversight of sales, reservations, revenue, public relations and marketing, Abou Doh believes that Four Seasons Hotel Doha is in a strong position in the luxury hospitality segment in the city. The property has recently completed a refurbishment of all rooms, and it counts a private beach and marina, as well as 10 dining outlets, some conceived by globally renowned celebrity chefs including Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Joël Robuchon.

“Even at nearly two decades in Doha, the Hotel remains a fresh product in the city, with every element of the guest experienced polished and innovative to reward the desires of contemporary guests.”
