The festive season is one of the best times to discover the wonders of Florence. This year, like every year, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is the ideal setting in which to experience the holiday magic: from the festive brunches to the Christmas afternoon teas, from gala dinners to the Panettone della Gherardesca, prepare for a sparkling end of the year.

Panettone della Gherardesca

Just like the Garden, Panettone della Gherardesca changes over the years. The 2022 recipe celebrates life, nature, and the flavours of the earth’s bounty such as laurel, rosemary and chestnut honey. It is an invitation to trust intuition and follow nature, to walk through the Gherardesca Garden, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city.  It is also a call to travel beyond Florence, to taste sweet Apulian almonds and rich Brazil nuts. This year packaging pays homage to the magnificence of the Palazzo.  The beautiful tin box is a tribute to the impressive Chinese wallpaper on the walls of the historical suite 122, while the centre of the box depicts the iconic statue of the god Bacchus that graces the Lobby – a perennial reminder to cherish nature’s gifts.

December 11, 2022 - The Reds & the White Charity Dinner

Guests can partake in a charity gala dinner set in the Lobby of Palazzo della Gherardesca, with a dedicated menu with Savini Tartufi paired with Ferrari wines and musical entertainment. The highlight of the evening is the final auction with the chance to win a stay at Four Seasons properties around the world. All proceeds will be donated to the Patrizio Cipollini Foundation.

December 18, 2022 – Open Day 2022

The Open Day is the most beloved festive event of Four Seasons Hotel Firenze: a tradition consolidated over the years involving restaurants and local producers, with entertainment, markets and music permeating the entire Gherardesca Garden. The proceeds of the day will be donated to the Patrizio Cipollini Foundation in support of ten young refugees willing to start a new career in the hospitality industry and to the Tommasino Bacciotti Foundation, benefitting families with children suffering from brain tumours.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Dinner

Il Palagio restaurant offers a festive dinner menu that pays homage to tradition with dishes such as grilled cuttlefish lard, Tuscan beans and tuna bottarga, tagliatelle with lobster and caviar, and capon stuffed with quince and chestnuts, kale and shallot - delicious classics revisited by Executive Chef Paolo Lavezzini for two unforgettable nights.

Christmas and New Year’s Brunches

The traditional Sunday Brunch becomes a festive feast in three different versions with dessert buffet, open kitchen to discover the Hotel’s behind the scenes and Santa Claus checking-in.

New Year's Eve Gala

The New Year's Eve Gala includes dinner at the Il Palagio restaurant followed by live music and entertainment in the Lobby to celebrate the start of a new year in the splendid setting of the Palazzo della Gherardesca courtyard. The five-course menu enhances the tradition based on fish and foraged ingredients such as seared sea bream marinated in spring onion, fish emulsion, tangerine and dill; tortelli stuffed with smoked potatoes, veal cheek stew and mugwort; and caramelized macadamia nuts, tamarind and brown butter ice cream.

Tea Time and Aperitivo

Atrium Bar is the perfect setting to treat oneself to a moment of celebration. This year, the usual afternoon tea will be served with pastries, sandwiches, scones and classic biscuits made by the Hotel's Pastry Chefs, and a flute of champagne, to start the perfect aperitivo combined with oysters and champagne or caviar Giaveri.
