Approaching each day as an opportunity to learn something new, Jutatip Sakulpanitcharoen has steadily built a career in the luxury spa industry over more than a decade. Lighthearted and ever smiling, Jutatip enjoys her role as supervisor at Four Seasons Tented Camp – one that she says keeps her grounded.

Starting out behind the reception of the spa at Anantara Resort & Spa in the Maldives, Jutatip has come a long way, in part due to her composure and strong work ethic. Entrusted with increasing responsibilities, Jutatip’s value at the spa at Anantara was recognized and she rose within the team to the position of spa manager. Popular with her colleagues for her sense of camaraderie and gentle disposition, she is the quintessential team player. “I grew up around many children in my neighbourhood, and we shared everything we had with each other,” she recounts, “This is why teamwork comes naturally to me. Having the same goals, but individual personalities, makes a team stronger.”

Among the many things that she is proud of, it is the launch of the Forest Bathing ritual at the Camp that she lists as a highlight. “It is a wellness experience inspired by the jungles of the Golden Triangle,” she beams. “And being one with nature is more therapeutic than you can imagine. We want to encourage our guests to immerse themselves in this wilderness setting and heal.”

Having grown up in Chiang Rai region, she is able to bring the local experiences to life through the spa therapies designed at the Camp. A certified yoga teacher, Jutatip is focused on improving her holistic healing skills, “Managing energies and exchanging them during therapies is crucial,” she feels. “One must be in the best of health – physical and mental – to ensure that healing takes place effortlessly.”
