With a background rooted in hospitality, Victor Milard-Ducret’s career began early through hands-on exposure to hotel operations across various service levels, from economy to luxury. His experience spans departments and functions, giving him a well-rounded understanding of service excellence and operational flow.
Victor worked in different roles across his family’s hotels, deepening his appreciation for every detail that contributes to a seamless guest experience. These early foundations inspired his decision to pursue a career dedicated to creating memorable hospitality moments.
Following high school, Victor joined Kempinski in Spain, where he was introduced to large-scale luxury operations and acquired his third language. He later worked as a commis chef in a French brasserie, gaining a deeper understanding of culinary operations, an essential perspective for working closely with chefs and kitchen teams.
During his time at EHL, Victor represented the school as an ambassador and led a food-focused student association, marking his first steps in team leadership. He completed internships in front office in Madrid and in operations management in Hanoi, where his interest in Southeast Asian hospitality and culture took root.
After graduating during the pandemic, he joined the brasserie in Lyon, where he managed high guest volumes while maintaining quality service. He later moved to Jakarta to lead restaurant operations in a conference hotel setting, developing his management approach through mentorship, collaboration, and cultural exchange. With the help of his team, he also learned to speak Bahasa Indonesia.
A year in Cuba reaffirmed Victor’s strong connection to Southeast Asia. He returned to Bangkok to lead a renowned fire grill restaurant in Thonglor, one of the city’s most dynamic dining neighbourhoods.
Now as Director of Restaurant and Bar at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Victor brings a global perspective, operational insight, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. His focus is on building a strong team culture and ensuring every guest leaves with a lasting impression.
Outside of work, Victor enjoys open-sea swimming, hiking, and cycling, pushing his limits while staying grounded. He finds inspiration through good food and great conversations, always looking for ways to elevate service and the guest journey.
