“Leading the next chapter of The Park Gstaad is an incredible honour. Our vision is to preserve the hotel’s rich heritage, while elevating its legacy by unveiling a fully reimagined luxury experience,’’ says Reto Moser, as he reflects on the refined yet warm hospitality he brings to the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland.

A Swiss national with extensive global experience, Moser is leading the next era of one of Europe’s most cherished alpine addresses - an icon originally opened in 1910 and the first luxury hotel in Gstaad.

As General Manager of The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, Moser welcomes travellers to one of the world’s most exclusive destinations where history, luxury, and unparalleled service come together to create a memorable Alpine experience.

“Many of our guests will arrive from major cities, and we look forward to welcoming them to a destination that represents the pinnacle of Alpine luxury - a place where they can enjoy world‑class events, and still unwind in refined comfort.’’

He also brings a genuine passion for fine dining and looks forward to showcasing the elevated culinary offerings across the hotel’s seven restaurants and bars.

Among the property’s “greatest advantages,” he says, is its location, just a leisurely stroll from the famed Gstaad Promenade that welcomes elite travellers with luxury boutiques, artisan food shops, gastronomic restaurants, and historic chalet-style architecture.

Moser leads the property alongside a dedicated team, fostering an environment where they feel empowered, take pride in their craft, and genuinely enjoy what they do. ‘’It is this spirit,” he says, “that naturally translates into memorable experiences for our guests. That’s what sets the culture of Four Seasons apart, here in Gstaad, and around the world.”

Moser’s story began not far away in Schwarzenburg, a small village located about an hour-and-a-half north of Gstaad with portions of the Bernese Oberland in between. He remembers his youth in Switzerland as idyllic, with easy access to the great outdoors for cycling and skiing.

After briefly exploring paths in pharmacology, architecture, and the culinary arts, he studied management at a top Swiss hospitality school and realized it was this industry that held everything he desired. He began his career as a restaurant manager at a luxury address in Chicago, before joining Four Seasons in Provence in 2004. His journey continued across the brand with roles in food and beverage operations in Bangkok and Koh Samui, followed by senior management positions in Cairo, Moscow, and Dubai.

His most recent post before Gstaad was leading both Four Seasons hotels in Istanbul. Now settled back in Switzerland, Moser admits that while returning to his home country wasn’t always part of his plan, it has become exactly where he wants to be. “As a child, I used to ski near here, and I’ve always had fond memories of Gstaad. To be here now, with the company I love, feels like a fairy tale.”
