Four Seasons Resort Hualalai announces a dynamic schedule of culinary experiences for the summer season. The first and only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star Resort on Hawaii Island, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai will showcase the best of its culinary talents through innovative pop-ups and events in unique settings across the expansive Resort.

“2024 has already been an exciting year for the Resort, marking a new chapter for our culinary journey as we welcomed the esteemed chef Tyler Florence to open Miller & Lux Hualalai earlier this year,” says Charlie Parker, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. “Building upon this excitement, we are thrilled to showcase our promise of exuding exceptional hospitality to our guests by introducing additional unique culinary experiences. For this summer season, we promise to delight our guests with incomparable food, ambiance and service, crafting memories that linger long after the last bite.”

Enhancing the already impressive culinary program at the Resort, new pop-up dining options will be available to guests as well as several specialty experiences throughout the summer.

Sushi and Robata by ‘Ulu - Debuting in July, Sushi and Robata by ‘Ulu will be hosted on the edge of the Resort’s famed 1.8-million-gallon swimmable aquarium King’s Pond. One of eight pools found at the Resort, the distinct King’s Pond is home to more than 1,000 tropical fish, many of which were rescued, and also features an elevated infinity pool and lounge deck. Overlooking the expansive ocean views, Sushi and Robata will offer a menu of fresh, Hawaiian seafood hand-crafted by the Resort’s sushi experts. Nodding to the name, the extensive menu of nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls will be complemented by a selection of robatayaki - a collection of fireside grilled meats and local vegetables. Sushi and Robata by ‘Ulu will be open for dinner from 5:30 to 9:00 pm, five to seven days per week beginning in July and extending to December. Service days will vary by season, and reservations are required.

Mi Casa Taqueria - Mi Casa Taqueria will be making a popular return to the Resort after last year’s successful pop-up. Located at the Surf Shack, a beachfront locale with pristine views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean, the menu will feature a collection of savoury starters, fresh ceviche, and an innovative selection of gourmet tacos. Inspired by the flavours of his hometown along Mexico’s Pacific coast, Executive Sous Chef William Perez Ledesma and his team will blend ingredients from the Hawaiian Islands and flavours of Mexico. Mi Casa Taqueria will be open for lunch and dinner on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm through August 2024.

In addition to the new full-service dining options, the Resort will also debut a collection of culinary-focused programming and events.

Weekly Luaus - During the summer months of July and August, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai will host luaus at the one-of-a-kind Hoku Amphitheatre. Carved from rugged pahoehoe lava, the stunning and spacious venue features a permanent stage amid a lush backdrop and dramatic, lava-rock wall. Immersing in true Hawaiian culture, guests can experience the power of storytelling through traditional hula dances and fire-knife performances accompanied by authentic Hawaiian fare and refreshing cocktails. Starting at 6:00 pm, the family-friendly luaus will occur every Monday from July 8 until August 26, 2028. Reservations are required.

Surf, Sand and Stars - Located at the centre of the Resort, Beach Tree restaurant will host Surf, Sand and Stars - a multi-sensory dining experience blending an array of cuisine, astronomy and landscapes. Sprawling onto the Sunset Lawn, guests can enjoy a gourmet buffet of seafood, sushi, steaks and delicious accoutrements in addition to guided viewing sessions with a guest astronomer to get an intimate look into the solar system and stars seen from the Resort.
