Hit the Slopes, Then Relax, Recover and Repeat This Winter at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole
Functional wellness offerings help adventure-seekers achive optiomal results, on and off the mountain
Complement a day on the mountain with on-property offerings to aid in active recovery at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole. A fully outfitted Recovery Zone, in-room wellness, sports recovery massage, après ski yoga and zero-proof cocktails help guests wind down and energize for the next day’s adventure.
“Balancing rigorous exercise with active recovery is key to optimizing performance and improving overall well-being,” says Spa Director Kimberly Jenkins. “After challenging your body in a high-intensity environment like skiing, active recovery helps reduce muscle fatigue, improve circulation and accelerate the healing process. We support this balance with customized therapies and recovery practices to help guests stay strong and energized, reducing the risk of injury.”
Recovery Zone
Stop by the Recovery Zone – located adjacent to The Spa in the pool foyer – every Friday this winter from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. A personal trainer will demonstrate HyperIce technologies, including complimentary HyperVolt percussion therapy, helping deeply massage muscles, promote circulation, and reduce stiffness and soreness. Also available are customized sessions to book for an additional cost, focusing on heat therapy and compression. Advance appointments are available, but not required. All HyperIce technologies also are available as part of the in-room wellness menu.
In-Room Wellness
Guests can bring wellness directly to the comfort of their guest room or suite with a menu of in-room offerings. Choose from Peloton exercise bikes, Normatec air compression, HyperVolt percussion massage and the Venom 2 Back heating pad to ease sore muscles. Also available are HyperSphere (round) and Vyper (roller) to activate, release and warm up muscles with powerful vibration. Rates for the above items range from USD 100 to 200 per day and can be charged directly to the guest room. Complimentary offerings include yoga mats, blocks and bolsters. Guests can contact The Spa to arrange.
Sports Recovery Massage
After tackling Casper Bowl or the Alta Chutes, relieve aching muscles with a Sports Recovery Massage. This treatment targets overused and stressed areas to decrease recovery time between activities with deep tissue techniques, assisted stretching and compression. While at The Spa, complement the experience with complimentary indoor hydrotherapy. Immerse tired muscles in the warm water of the Spa’s tranquil whirlpools, including an exhilarating plunge into the cold tub to awaken the body and help reduce inflammation.
Yoga For Skiers
Offered complimentary as part of the weekly activity calendar, Après Yoga helps skiers recuperate after a day on the mountain and prepare to hit the slopes again the next day. This class includes stretching key muscle groups used for skiing, including the hips, shoulders, knees and calves, helping increase mobility.
Zero-Proof Cocktail Tasting and Menu in 80 Proof
Head to 80 Proof for a healthier nightcap with an elevated zero-proof menu. Offerings include the Riki-Tiki, made with housemade orgeat – a syrup made from almonds, sugar and rose water – along with passionfruit, lime, cinnamon simple syrup and an Italian orange non-alcoholic spirit. The Piña Picante highlights grilled pineapple, serrano syrup and lime for a flavourful take on the Margarita, offering a sweet and spicy twist for an exciting mocktail experience. The No-York Sour combines Italian orange non-alcoholic spirits with lemon, simple syrup, egg white, and alcohol-free orange bitters.
