Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur to Organise Fourth Terry Fox Fun Run on May 24, 2026

April 6, 2026,
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Terry Fox Fun Run returns to Kuala Lumpur, once again proudly organised by the team at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The Terry Fox Run is inspired by 22-year-old Terry Fox who, after losing a leg to bone cancer, set out on his Marathon of Hope across Canada in 1980. Covering 5,374 kilometres (3,340 miles) before being forced to stop due to the return of cancer, Terry’s determination captured the hearts of millions. By the time of his passing in 1981, he had raised CAD 24 million for cancer research. Pledging his support to Terry’s cause, Four Seasons founder Isadore Sharp helped organize the first Terry Fox Run in 1981. Today, the movement has grown into a global phenomenon, with more than 12,000 runs held worldwide each year, several of which are hosted by Four Seasons.

Bringing the community together for a worthy cause, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur invites runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities to join the global movement for a cancer-free world – a goal inspired by the courageous legacy of Terry Fox. All proceeds from the event will go to Cancer Research Malaysia, supporting critical advancements in research and treatment.

Scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, the five-kilometre Terry Fox Fun Run will begin at 7:00 am and end at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur by 9:30 am.

Building on the success of the previous run, which raised more than MYR 55,000, the Four Seasons team hopes for even greater participation this year. Whether joining the run or supporting from the sidelines, everyone is invited to sign up via the Hotel website or the QR code below. The MYR 90 registration fee includes a complimentary t-shirt, with all funds directed to Cancer Research Malaysia.

“It’s an honour for us to lead Kuala Lumpur’s fourth Terry Fox Fun Run, further amplifying its impact in our local community,” says Simon Barnett, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. “More than a run, this event is a symbol of our shared commitment to Terry’s spirit of hope and perseverance, with every step taken representing collective resilience in the face of cancer.”

Everyone is welcome to join and complete the run at their own pace. For more information and to register, click here.
