Heartfelt Hospitality Experts at Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya Invite Guests To “Feel the Love” of Culinary Creativity

Kuwait City, Kuwait

What do a hospitality expert from Costa Rica and a master mixologist from the Philippines have in common? They’re the artisans who put the love and passion into the creativity and warmth that underpin the buzziest social spots at Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait.

Renowned for their boundary-pushing craftsmanship and vibrancy, Karen Nunez and Christopher Boom Verzosa – known as “Boom” to colleagues and guests alike – bring an innovative care and compassion to the luxury Hotel’s most innovative establishments: Al Soor lounge and Sintoho restaurant. As the beating heart of the Hotel, these unique dining spots are the city’s leading spaces for local Kuwaitis and international guests to gather and share exquisite gastronomy and lively connection with friends and family.

Heartfelt hospitality comes naturally to Assistant Manager Karen Nunez, the warm and friendly “face of Al Soor,” the Hotel’s contemporary lounge. Hailing from Costa Rica – known as one of the happiest countries in the world – Karen radiates positivity, summed up in her homeland’s phrase pura vida: a reference to living a “simple and wonderful life.”“It’s about the pleasure of enjoying and appreciating all things at all times,” says Karen. “In Costa Rica, we believe that sharing memorable moments over food and drink with friends and family is feeding your soul.”

There’s no better place to enjoy this life-affirming pleasure than at Al Soor. With its soaring ceilings and gold-leaf glass screens, this striking setting is home to a new French chocolaterie counter that offers 15 different truffles and pralines alongside home-baked pastries, Arabic-inspired nibbles and fragrant mocktails. Infusing the heart-centred philosophies of her homeland into Al Soor, Karen encourages a lively, celebratory atmosphere: she moves from table to table with effortless ease, “reading guests’ minds” when making menu suggestions, ensuring the overall vibe remains high, and even introducing an exciting Midsummer Nights’ mocktail blend of cucumber, kiwi, green apple and black pepper for a spicy kick.

Original mocktails are also on the menu at Sintoho, the Hotel’s 21st-floor rooftop hotspot, courtesy of master mixologist and restaurant supervisor Boom. Packing a punch with bold, innovative flavours that complement the restaurant’s pan-Asian cuisine, Boom has been the backbone of Sintoho’s creative beverage offering since the Hotel opened in 2017.

His latest drinks menu is a showcase of his unique vision and commitment to connection, with each vibrant creation elevating the signature flavours and famed feasts from the restaurant’s robata grill, sushi counter and teppanyaki station.

The smooth, creamy Pearl of the Orient opulently offsets the menu’s spicy rock popcorn shrimps with its cooling pineapple, coconut and pandan syrup combination. Samurai Mojito is a fruity, aromatic partner to Sintoho’s celebrated sushi and sashimi dishes, emboldened with fresh shiso leaves and homemade shiso syrup, apple and yuzu juice. And with its tangy blend of cranberry, orange and lemon juice, and twist of Thai lime syrup, lime leaf and lemongrass, Shanghai Beauty expertly enhances the restaurant’s succulent wagyu beef ribs.

“I love the challenge of creating mocktails that are so much more than a sum of their parts,” says Boom. “I work to balance the flavours of different dishes, so that each drink plays a powerful role in the overall culinary experience of Sintoho.”

Alongside their own natural talents and passion, Karen Nunez and Christoper Boom Verzosa credit their teams for the passionate hospitality experience the Hotel is renowned for. Bringing together artisans and experts from all corners of the globe, the diverse team at Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya is “like a family,” says Karen. “It’s this sense of connection and desire to share the best of ourselves with guests that constantly drives us to pour our hearts and souls into creating ever-more inspiring and memorable experiences.”
