Resort debuts seamless neighbour island excursions
Guests can experience activities on Oahu, Maui and Hawaii from their home base at Four Seasons Resort Lanai with the launch of a new program, Hawaii by Lanai. Whether ziplining through Jurassic Valley, touring a pineapple farm, or watching the lava flow at an active volcano, guests can customize their own itinerary, paired with travel by ferry or airplane and all ground transportation for effortless, private day trips. Flights are on Lanai Air, offering luxury charter service aboard a Pilatus PC-12, a legendary Swiss turboprop seating up to eight passengers.
Oahu
- Explore the Diamond Head crater, Hanauma Bay or the unspoiled Windward Coast and iconic North Shore. Discover the island’s contrasts with a tour Honolulu's bustling downtown area, then finish in Honolulu’s historic district, including visits to Chinatown and Iolani Palace, built in 1882 and serving as the residence for Hawaii’s last reigning monarchs.

- Discover the vast valley at Kualoa Ranch through outdoor adventures sure to excite. This private nature reserve is a 4,000-acre (1,620-hectare) paradise, offering numerous outdoor activities exploring the vast valley that was the filming location for Jurassic Park and many other movies and TV shows. Try ziplining, horseback riding and more.
- Sample the tastes of local food producers along the stunning Koolau mountain range in a culinary tour on windward side of Oahu. Learn about sustainable agriculture, view tropical fruits and canoe plants and taste chocolate at a cacao farm. Uncover flavour variations from different roasting processes and sample coffee made from organic farming. The rainwater filtered through layers and layers of volcanic rock, along with storage in wooden casks, results in a unique whiskey profile guests can sample.
Maui
- Travel by air or for an option by sea, take the scenic 90-minute ferry ride between Manele Harbor on Lanai and Maalea Harbour on Maui.
- Drive along Maui’s famed Hana Highway. Swim beneath waterfalls and hike through the rainforest with knowledgeable guide who will talk story about Hawaii’s natural environment and culture in the Hoolawa Valley. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and go for a swim in the falls on this 2-mile (3.2-kilometer) hike.
- Head inland to Maui’s agriculture area, with its cooler climate, country style living and spectacular views. Visit a working pineapple farm, tour a working goat farm and sample award-winning cheese or enjoy a tasting at an organic vodka distillery. Stop at the charming town of Paia for lunch at the Haliimaile General Store, founded by Bev Gannon, one of the original Hawaii Regional Cuisine chefs or visit the Maui Glass Studio for a narrated glass blowing demonstration.
Hawaii
- Enjoy a 120-minute helicopter tour of the north side of the island, with up-close views of Kilauea Volcano, one of the most active on earth. Sweep over miles of current volcanic activity and past devastation. Float above the deep and immense tropical valleys of the Kohala Mountains with its waterfalls, continuing up to the lush Hamakua coastline. Take in breathtaking views of the peaceful green crusted folds of Waipio and Waimanu Valleys. Stop nearby for lunch or to explore island sights.
