Twelve Reasons Manele at Four Seasons Resort Lanai is Must-Play Golf

New Lanai golf experience rounds out list

February 20, 2025,
Hawaii, Lanai, U.S.A.

Players with Lanai’s Signature Jack Nicklaus-designed Manele Golf Course on their bucket list now have another reason to plan that Hawaii golf visit.  Four Seasons Resort Lanai introduces a new golf package with inclusions on and off the greens for an unforgettable escape.

High above the crashing surf of Hulopoe Bay, Manele Golf Course is an award-winning course on Lanai, home to only two resorts, both managed by Four Seasons. Built on lava outcroppings, the Par 72, 7,039 yard course features three cliff-top holes that use the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard. Five tees allow the course to be enjoyed by all levels of golfers while presenting a formidable test to the best players. Scott Ashworth, Director of Golf, shares, “We focus on our guests from the time they arrive until they leave, and want them to have an unforgettable round with us.” Ashworth was recently elected to PGA of America Board of Director. As District 11 Director he represents the Aloha, Northern California and Southern California PGA Sections and works with members to elevate and promote golf.

Count the reasons to golf Lanai:

1. Ocean views on every hole.  From the spectacular, dramatic cliffside guests may even catch a glimpse of humpback whales during winter months.

2. Peace and solidarity - want to play alone?  No problem as Manele Golf doesn't pair groups up if they don't want. And tee times are simply a formality on Lanai – experience a private course ambience.

3. It’s good to be a member – for a week that is.  The seven-day, all-inclusive experience includes unlimited golf and much more.

4. Bag tag bragging rights – get a very handsome engraved bag tag with play – be the envy of the next foursome.

5. Ah - lemonade of the day hits the spot.  Add in a mixer or try a Bloody Mary to get the round started, on the Resort.

6. Local flavuors - don’t miss the venison burrito (or panini) at Kau Kau Tin – simply order from the golf cart for a taste of Lanai.  Golfers can now enjoy complimentary food and beverages during each visit to the course.  The pro shop and Kau Kau Tin are a golfer’s comfort station, replete with tasty dishes from morning until the 19th hole.

7. Retail therapy at the Pro Shop with brands such as LinkSoul, Peter Millar, Travis Mathew, Holderness & Bourne, Ralph Lauren, EP New York, Anetik, GFore, and Lines of Denmark as well as Lanai Golf merchandise, including leather goods, custom balls, beach towels, blankets and more.

8. Don’t golf?  Not a problem.  The very popular complimentary cliffside tour allow guests to check off that bucket list without swinging a club.  Or try Golf 101 for a lesson to remember. Check the online calendar for clinics, events and more.

9. Nerd out with numbers with a Trackman Session with PGA Lead Golf Instructor Will Foster.

10. Golfers often need to play Manele Golf Course at least twice as they are often busy taking pictures the first round.  It’s easy, with complimentary same-day replay available.

11. Prefer to stay upcountry?  Reserve Manele Take Two at the adults-only Sensei Lanai, a wellness retreat nestled in tropical gardens, and get two days of golf including a Tesla rental, complimentary replay and more.

12. The Resort’s new offer, the Lanai Golf Experience, is ideal for one or two players and includes:

  • One day unlimited golf for one per night
  • Unlimited complimentary food and beverage from the course Kau Kau Tin
  • Complimentary rental clubs
  • Complimentary engraved bag tag for player

Round-trip flights between Honolulu and Lanai are included for all bookings, including the Lanai Golf Experience for arrivals taking place by December 31, 2025.

*For one-night stays, golf can be played on arrival or departure date. Rounds cannot be split across dates. Option to add package for additional guests available. Contact hotel directly.
