Experience Two Worlds on One Island With Four Seasons Resorts Lanai

A curated six-night Insider Itinerary takes guests from the ocean shores to mountain-covered uplands for a perfect Hawaiian vacation
July 21, 2026,
Hawaii, Lanai, U.S.A.

Four Seasons Resort debuts Lanai: Two Worlds, One Island – an exclusive six-night  itinerary that takes guests through the distinct landscapes and cultures of Hawaii's most intimate island. Moving from the oceanfront setting of Four Seasons Resort Lanai to the adults-only upland retreat of Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort, guests unlock insider knowledge along with legendary service. From a holoholo with Lanai’s unofficial mayor to a traditional Lomilomi massage followed by time for two in a private spa hale overlooking a tropical garden, this intimate itinerary is designed to reveal the untold story of Lanai.

Home to 3,100 residents and 30 miles (48 kilometres) of paved road, Lanai remains the Hawaii of yesterday: unspoiled, unhurried, and unequalled. Guests won’t find any stoplights, traffic or fast-food restaurants. Instead, they will discover serenity, tradition and history on a 90,000-acre (36,400 hectares) island.

Ocean Adventures: Four Seasons Resort Lanai

The journey begins even before checking into the resort. Guests are met at baggage claim in Honolulu and escorted to a private hangar complete with Wi-Fi and refreshments to await their charter flight on Lanai Air.  Upon landing, settle into an Ocean-View room with sparkling blue waters on the horizon.

Cultural immersion begins on the first evening with a private one-on-one introduction to Hawaiian tradition.  Choose from hula, lei-making, or ukulele and delve deeper into culture with the Love Lanai advisors. Enjoy the golden hour, Lanai style.  As the sun starts to set over the bay, relax and toast the last rays with champagne and small bites for two on the Makai Terrace.

Welcome morning with breakfast in a private pool sanctuary overlooking Hulopoe Bay.  Savour specialties from Osteria Mozza such as Smoked Salmon Crostone, Ahi Benedict or Tuscan Steak & Eggs alongside a Mozza Morning Cocktail, tea, coffee or a refreshing smoothie.  Relax with dips in the pool while easing into island life.

Next, climb aboard a private 65-foot catamaran for a voyage with food, beverage, and beautiful coastal cliffs. On the third day, Tuma — the resort's alakaʻi, or cultural guide, and by many accounts the island's unofficial mayor — leads a private 4x4 expedition to Keahiakawelo, Lanai City, and the Lanai Culture and Heritage Centre, before setting up for picnic in Dole Park at the heart of island life. That evening, a private 15-course teppan dinner is prepared by Chef Hung Nguyen at Nobu Lanai.

The Highlands: Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort

On the fourth morning, transfer up the mountain road as the coastline recedes. At 1,600 feet (487 metres) above sea level, Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort arrives through the mist — an adults-only resort founded on the science-backed wellness philosophy of Dr. David Agus, built around the interconnected pillars of movement, nourishment, and rest. Belongings, packed and transported by the resort team, are already waiting.

The final three nights centre on deliberate restoration. The first evening at Sensei is spent on the private lanai of a Koele Deluxe Room — softly lit, set with fresh flowers, champagne, and a personalized multi-course menu with wine pairings from the resort's award-recognized cellar. The following morning, a Sensory Eating Experience guided by Sensei's registered dietitian reframes the relationship between attention and nourishment.  Next enter a private 1,000 square foot spa hale for a 90-minute couples' Lomi Lomi massage, drawn from generations of Hawaiian bodywork tradition. Afterwards, take advantage of the hale amenities, including an ofuro soaking tub, infrared sauna, plunge pool, and indoor and outdoor showers.

The sixth day opens to the sounds of the forest. A guided walk leads through a garden where sculpture and nature coexist before culminating in a private sound journey using string instruments, gongs, wave drums and singing bowls in a pavilion surrounded by greenery.  Travis Kā'eo, Sensei Wellness Practioner infuses into his practice cherished values of giving back and collective betterment. Then spend time with a Sensei Guide, specialists who hold advanced degrees across disciplines including sleep science, nutrition, movement, and mindset, in a session dedicated to each guest’s intention.

Enjoy a final breakfast at Sensei by Nobu, with the mountain still wrapped in morning mist, before leaving with new perspectives.
