A graduate of the University of Washington, he began working at the University’s driving range as the youngest golf instructor ever hired to date.  He then accepted the position of Assistant Golf Professional at McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard, Washington, and was promoted to head golf professional in 1997 when he received his PGA membership. Scott came to Hawaii in 2001 as the head golf professional at Ko Olina Golf Club on Oahu, and is now Director of Golf at Four Seasons Resort Lanai.

A member and past president of the PGA Aloha Section and the Hawaii Alliance for Golf, Scott also has been honoured with the prestigious Bill Strausbaugh Award in 2009 and 2012, the Horton Smith Award, and most recently the Resort Merchandiser of the Year 2013 for the PGA of America’s Aloha Section.
