Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah: The Yacht That Comes With a Private Island

The most interesting destination for Voavah Summer is the one waiting when it returns: five acres of the Maldives with no other guests on them.

The 19-metre (62-foot) yacht belongs to a stay at Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. A day aboard might begin with a search for manta rays when season and conditions allow, turn into a dive or a sandbank lunch, and end with a sunset cruise. Guests can also arrange to stay out overnight. The appeal is that the plan has room to change once they are on the water.

Meanwhile, life on the island continues in their absence. An Island Chief leads a dedicated 25-person team who can arrange the next dive, look after children and prepare anything from an easy supper to a celebration on the beach. Chefs, instructors and therapists allow different members of the group to spend the day their own way, then come together again at dinner.

Voavah is reserved in its entirety for up to 22 guests. Its seven bedrooms are spread across a Beach Villa, a Water Villa and two Mezzanine Suites. The Beach House has places to dine, read and play pool; a PADI 5-Star Dive Centre and the Ocean of Consciousness Spa make a day on land as open to possibility as one at sea.
