Forever resourceful and flexible, Noam Clarisse condenses his 25 years of expertise in the fitness industry as he responds to every guest’s wellness needs. “I was drawn to the idea of creating a wellness experience that not only offers top-notch fitness programs, but also aligns seamlessly with the brand’s commitment to guest satisfaction,” he shares. As the Fitness and Wellness Manager, Noam guides guests through a diverse range of private fitness classes, wellness activities, spa treatments, and nutrition programs, always making sure that each offering is personalized.

Noam has steeped himself into the Mauritius way of life, enjoying the wealth of nature and traditions. “I’ve learned from local experts about traditional healing herbs and remedies derived from the island’s rich plant life, which I’ve incorporated into our wellness offerings at the Resort,” he says. Noam’s successful tenure in Le Prince Maurice and Body Doctor Fitness, London, helped him build a credible knowledge base that he now shared with guests at the Resort. Always dreaming new possibilities that take advantage of the Resort’s stunning natural surroundings and island lifestyle, “My ultimate goal is to inspire and empower guests to adopt a healthier lifestyle during their stay and beyond. This involves not only offering physical activities but also fostering mindfulness, relaxation, and holistic well-being.”

Inspired by this unique island, he makes sure to schedule time every day for his own fitness and relaxation. He enjoys hiking and swimming in the pristine waters surrounding the island, as well as meditation and yoga. Noam shares, “Exploring the island’s culture and cuisine has allowed me to adopt a balanced and nutritious diet, emphasizing local, fresh ingredients.” Although it can be challenging to balance this with his work, he believes he must lead by example and inspires both his team and guests to prioritise their health and well-being.

As he goes about inspiring his team and planning for the future, he offers a piece of advice for young fitness professionals. “Develop excellent communication skills to connect with clients and colleagues effectively! Excellence is in the details.”
