As the year draws to a close,  Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico opens its doors to a festive season unlike any other. The adult-only coastal sanctuary invites guests to step away from the clamour of the holidays and into the rhythms of nature, where 48 unspoiled acres (19 hectares) of Pacific coastline become the backdrop for introspection and connection. From Thanksgiving through an unforgettable New Year’s Eve performance by celebrated artist Jessica Betts, Naviva curates a collection of soul-stirring experiences: communal feasts celebrating the abundance of Mexico, intimate live performances by acclaimed artists as part of the Naviva Unplugged series, ceremonial gatherings beneath the full moon, and countless opportunities to rediscover what the holidays can mean when stripped of expectation and returned to their essence.

"The holidays often pull us in every direction, but at Naviva, we invite guests to trade the noise for peace and presence," says Eduardo Sampere, Resort Manager, Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort. "Here, the only sounds are the rhythm of the waves, the whisper of the wind, and the conversations that truly matter. Without the commotion of daily life or the weight of expectations, our guests find space to reconnect with themselves and the people who matter most. Naviva offers a different kind of celebration, one that honours stillness as much as joy, and leaves guests with something lasting as they step into 2026."

At Naviva, the festive season is designed for intimate gatherings and personal renewal, all set to the soundtrack of nature. With just 15 tented bungalows, the resort creates a quiet refuge where couples reconnect, adult families and friends deepen their bonds, and solo travellers find the space for reflection. The season's offerings honour Mexican traditions while embracing the unexpected moments that make each stay memorable.

The Sounds of Soulful Celebration

Throughout November and December 2025, a series of carefully crafted moments punctuate the season, each designed not to fill time, but to deepen it. These gatherings weave together Mexico's rich cultural tapestry with the resort’s commitment to authentic connection:

  • Land and Sea Dinner | November 27, 2025: Celebrating the abundance of Mexican cuisine, this immersive dinner honours both land and sea – from succulent Pacific Oysters to rich Cochinita Pibil – enhanced by the smoky aromas from the underground oven and the natural soundtrack of the ocean.
  • Nueva Raicilla | November 28, 2025:  Guests can experience the awakening of coastal tabernas as a new season unfolds as part of the resort’s signature Road to Raicilla experience, witnessing the creation of next year's first raicilla batch with Eterno Embrujo from Larissa Carillo, the only female distiller from the coast. Immerse fully in the vibrant sights and sounds of this ancient craft, deeply rooted in the spirit of Jalisco.
  • Full Moon in the House of Heat | December 4, 2025: Guided by a dedicated curandero in the resort’s custom temazcal, guests will have the opportunity to set intentions for the upcoming lunar cycle during the Full Moon in House of Heat experience, while bidding farewell to the current year and embracing the promise of fresh beginnings in 2026.
  • Joy Oladokun’s Naviva Unplugged Performance | December 17, 2025: Singer-songwriter Joy Oladokun, celebrated for her poignant lyrics and soulful melodies, brings her compelling fusion of folk, R&B, rock, and pop to Naviva as part of the intimate Naviva Unplugged concert series. Her thoughtful explorations of identity, love, and social consciousness create a profound and moving musical experience in the resort's secluded natural setting.
  • Winter Solstice Forest Feast | December 21, 2025: In honour of the winter solstice, traditionally a moment of celestial stillness and renewal, the resort presents an intimate forest-to-table dinner beneath the stars. This communal, candlelit celebration is set deep within the resort's lush forest, with guests gathering around a long table to share stories, give toasts, and savour the seasonal flavours of a multi-course menu by Chef Sofía Mojica.
  • New Year's Eve with Jessica Betts and Her Band: A Celebration of Light and Sound | December 31, 2025: Guests can embrace new beginnings and welcome 2026 with a night of sights, sounds and tastes at Naviva, featuring a feast beneath the stars, a spectacular fireworks show that mirrors the joy of the new year, and an intimate Naviva Unplugged performance by acclaimed singer-songwriter Jessica Betts. Following her successful summer debut at the resort, Betts returns to ring in 2026 with her magnetic energy and soulful artistry, creating an unforgettable evening of celebration.

These seasonal experiences reflect the resort’s all-encompassing philosophy, where every element flows seamlessly into the stay. Culinary creations, transformative spa journeys, and daily activities are all included within the nightly rate. At Naviva, guests linger over starlit dinners without consulting a bill, sip on Raicilla by the fire without scheduling the next activity and fall into unhurried moments of connection. By replacing the noise of the holidays with the authentic sounds of nature and connection, Naviva creates the rarest of holiday gifts: the freedom to be fully present, leaving guests restored rather than depleted as they step into the new year.
