Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, the intimate nature retreat nestled within 48 acres (19 hectares) of coastal forest on Mexico's Pacific coast, invites guests to discover an exclusive reserve raicilla created in partnership with Eterno Embrujo, a woman-owned raicilla brand founded by Larissa Carrillo Solís and dedicated to preserving and celebrating the traditions, culture and communities of Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco.

In the remote region of Cabo Corrientes, where Indigenous communities have preserved traditions for generations, raicilla is more than a spirit - it is memory, identity, and collective heritage passed down through time.

The exclusive reserve created for Naviva tells the story of Eterno Embrujo founder Larissa Carrillo Solís, whose journey into raicilla began as a deeply personal tribute to her father and grew into a commitment to preserve and celebrate one of Mexico's most storied ancestral spirits. Today, as one of the only woman-led raicilla brands, she is helping broaden the visibility of women within a craft traditionally led by generations of maestro raicilleros, while carrying its legacy into a new generation.

Central to Carrillo Solís' journey was her friendship with the late Don Hildegardo "Japo" Joya, one of Jalisco's most revered maestro raicilleros, whose mentorship shaped her understanding of both the craft and the community behind it. Recognising her desire to honour her family's roots, Don Japo entrusted Carrillo Solís with access to Potrerillos, a mezcalera deeply connected to her family's history and the source of the agave used to create this exclusive reserve.

Originally crafted as a personal reserve, this exceptionally rare release yielded only 57 litres from seven mature agave plants. Once this limited batch is gone, it will not be produced again, making each bottle an expression of Cabo Corrientes, its traditions and the people who have preserved them for generations.

Crafted using traditional methods practiced for generations in Cabo Corrientes, the agave was cooked underground for one month and fermented for an additional month, resulting in an exceptionally complex spirit with vibrant agave character, delicate smoke, and remarkable depth.

For Carrillo Solís, raicilla is inseparable from the people and places that give it life. Every bottle carries the stories of families, communities, and traditions passed from one generation to the next. That shared belief in honouring place and people made Naviva a natural partner for this deeply personal release.
