Internationally experienced, Eric Thorel has run the tennis programs at some of the world’s top clubs and resorts in the Bahamas, Macau, Thailand, Singapore, Mauritius, Japan, Hong Kong and, most recently, French Polynesia. He is recognized as a USPTA Elite Professional, certified in USTA Sport Science, SafeSport and Youth Development, and a lifetime member of Peter Burwash International (PBI), the organization directing the racquet sports program at Four Seasons Resort Nevis.
Eric played competitively in France and abroad, highlighted by a silver medal at the Bahamas Games and a top 10 ranking in Singapore. He recently joined the ITF Seniors circuit and achieved a #3 ranking in Hong Kong.
Originally from France, Eric is a BA graduate and former sergeant in the French army. In his formative years, he attended a six-month high performance coaching and management internship at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida.
Eric’s interests include spending time with his wife Sunny, a yoga instructor and Mandarin teacher, raising his two boys, keeping fit and traveling around the world.
