Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina Announces New Art Exhibit with Artist Haunani Hess

Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, an award-winning resort on Oahu’s tranquil western coast, announces a new gallery exhibit by Native Hawaiian visual artist Haunani Hess.  The fine art gallery exhibition celebrates Hawaii’s vibrant and diverse art scene. Known for her lively use of colour, layered textures, and spontaneous creative process, Hess brings a fresh, expressive energy to the Resort’s celebrated arts program.  Guests are invited to explore, immerse and interact with Hess during her residency from July 2025 through December 2025.

Born on Oahu, Hess is a self-taught artist whose roots in interior design inform the bold, tactile nature of her work. Drawing inspiration from Hawaii’s natural beauty, textile patterns, and subconscious expression, her pieces often incorporate a fusion of mediums—paint, collage, gold linework, and natural pigments. The result is a multi-dimensional canvas that defies convention and invites curiosity.

Hess’ distinctive style—characterized by dynamic brush strokes, bold palettes, and silhouettes of Hawaiian mountain ranges—reflects both the motion of nature and the intricacies of emotion. Her works have been featured in residential and commercial collections across the islands and beyond, including Four Seasons Resort Maui, Ritz-Carlton Maui, Mauna Loa Beach Hotel, and Tiffany’s Art Agency. Hess’ work is also featured in the Resort’s new Club Lounge and Club guest rooms and suites.

As part of the Resort’s cultural fibre, the arts program celebrates and cultivates the arts through working with a collection of Hawaii artists, including Nick Kuchar, Lola Pilar, Steven Kean, Kris Goto, Welzie and Eduardo Bolioli, to name a few. Hess’ fine art exhibit features an open-space gallery, encouraging guests to tour the impressive collection of work and interact with during special events and talk story nights. Her presence cements the Resort’s commitment to showcasing the depth and diversity of Hawaii’s artistic community, while offering meaningful and memorable cultural connections.
