Celebrate the Night Sky with Celestial Experiences at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina

Hawaii, Oahu, U.S.A.

For generations, the night sky has been a source of wonder, guidance, and connection in Hawaii. Long before modern instruments, Polynesian voyagers relied on the stars, moon, and planets to navigate the vast Pacific Ocean, charting epic journeys across thousands of miles. This deep relationship with the cosmos remains an integral part of Hawaiian culture, where the stars are not only markers of direction, but also storytellers of heritage.

At Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, guests are invited to experience this celestial legacy through immersive evening programming that celebrates both the natural beauty of the skies and the traditions they inspired. Step aboard a traditional double-hull canoe for the Celestial Canoe Experience for an evening of celestial exploration, where the ancient art of wayfinding comes alive as the horizon glows as sunset and the stars begin to guide the journey. During the 30-minute immersive experience, guests learn about the mo’olelo – Hawaiian stories tied to navigation, the Hawaiian star lines, and how the ancient navigators explored the vast oceans.  Rooted in ancestral wisdom, the experience intersects the past with the present by connecting guests to the ocean and the traditions of the culture.

On land, guests are invited join Stars Above Hawaii for the Resort’s weekly stargazing program, where the brilliance of the moon, planets, and distant galaxies fills the night. These experiences honour the same constellations that once carried Polynesian explorers across the ocean, transforming each evening into a journey through time, culture, and the infinite wonder of the Hawaiian night sky.
