March “Without Prejudice” by Four Seasons Hotel Prague

In honour of International Women's History Month, Four Seasons Hotel Prague is hosting a charity pop-up exhibition, Without Prejudice. Eleven Barbie dolls of various shapes, skin tones and disabilities in original couture designs by Zuzana Kubíčková are on display for sale in the Hotel lobby. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Pink Bubble Foundation, which helps young people battling cancer.

"We have installed the exhibition right by the reception to put it in the spotlight. We can see that the theme resonates with our guests as well as employees. Guests have been pleasantly surprised and we have already had a few interested buyers. Our intention this month was not only to celebrate diversity, but especially to highlight a sensitive topic that young women face today," says Veronika Tamchynova, Director of Public Relations and Communications at Four Seasons Hotel Prague.

"We thought about how to support the vision of diversity and inclusion," says Lenka Koenigsmark, chief marketing officer of Mattel Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. We thought it was nice to show that even in fashion, Barbie always pushed the boundaries, not only because of how inspiring she is dressed, but also because she was able to break down prejudices with her charm. We are grateful to Zuzana for sewing the dresses for the dolls, especially in doll sizes that reflect the curves of real women. Barbie does not discriminate anyone and sees beauty in alle human nature.”

The dolls with Czech names were dressed by the leading Czech designer Zuzana Kubíčková. The handmade models selected from the Couture 2022/23 collection, with which Kubíčková celebrated ten years of her studio, prove that fashion is for everyone. "We pride ourselves on the fact that curves are beautiful and there are no bad proportions. A well-chosen and well-tailored model should always flatter and accentuate every woman's feature," says Zuzana Kubíčková.

Pink Bubble Foundation helps Czech cancer patients and survivors to get back on their feet, to fulfil their bravest dreams, to live each day to the fullest and enjoy friendship with peers that have similar experiences with the oncological illness.
